These little timers are glass and wood-textured plastic. They are a hit with my kids. My children like to watch the sand fall, and also love using them as reading timers as they are silent, which can be less nerve-wracking than a timer that "clicks" or suddenly makes a loud noise. They are very popular for reading time (particularly the 20 minute one). In a few of the timers (white, yellow) it is difficult to see the sand accumulate. But really my only complaint is that I wish it included a 1-minute timer for teeth brushing, but that is not the product's fault. Honestly, a great addition to our home classroom.

These sand timers have been a great addition to our homeschool routine. The color coding of times makes it easy to find the time you want quickly. The intervals of time are perfect, and the timing is accurate. These have held up to rough play from my children who enjoy stacking them as well. None have broken when they fall and don't seem to have even been scratched.

Yellow is actually orange and time indicator is just a low quality sticker. Also they were smudged like the plastic was scuffed up, returning.

I ordered the SANDTIMER 6-Piece Hourglass Set for various games and board games in the making. They work well as a means of time management if it's okay that they're off by several seconds. However, it meets the brand's description that says to allow ±10% error., which is to be expected.If your sand starts moving too slowly or seems to stick to the glass, you can tap the glass to unstick it. You could also allow the hourglass to sit in a sunny spot; it may need to dry out, as it's natural for them sometimes to develop condensation of sorts with the weather changes.For the price, I feel like I got a high-quality set. They're solid and durable. The glass is thick, and the way the base is designed, if they tip over, the glass is protected.I think it's awesome that each timer has a sticker/stamp that states the amount of time it manages. The sand flows evenly without any clogging.

Very cute timers, but not sure how they Are going to withstand toddlers if one of them was broken inside the individual packaging.

These are so much better than I imagined!!!They're so nice and large.The little ones love using them!! The 6 year old likes to use one before bed time so she knows how much time is left! It's really helping her get a grasp on time. She uses the 30 minute for that. She uses the 3 minute for brushing, flossing and her rinse.She plays with them with her dolls...They're sturdy and the sand in enclosed in 2 separate areas.These are highly useful in a variety of ways but our favorite is teaching the girls the concept of time!They do state there is a small variance...The times are on both ends.Highly recommend these!!!

So these may not be the absolute need in every household, but they are a cute way to count down the time. They are a nice large size with different colors for each timer. The sand matches the bottle tops. They are large enough for even bad eyes to see their progress. They would make a great gift.

Using these for tabletop RPG to manage cadence. Sometimes we get distracted, and things go off the rails. I do not want disruption from a phone going off, so, the sandglass timers are great (I think this uses glass balls). Personally, I want a loud timer for my cooking.Outside cover should make cleaning easy and help protect the glass, or at least help stop a gazillion little beads should it break somehow.the 3 minute timer flows quite a bit and is neat to watch, for me, can be relaxing to chill watching a "hourglass" flow for a few minutes.These are medium sized at about 5 inches high, larger, and nicer than I expected.These kept good times for me (64 deg f), well within spec.3 -- 2:545 -- 4:5210 -- 9:4515 -- 14:5020 -- 19:5230 -- 30:17
