Just buy the real thing. This cable is flawless. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Working well so far *by P***. on April 8, 2019* After reading some of the other reviews I was a little concerned about this cable, but I couldn't find any real alternative. It is a substantial cable - far thicker than any other USB cable I've ever used. It is fairly flexible, though. I can't speak to long-term durability, but my use will be light duty.I haven't used this on a project yet, but I have one coming up soon. While testing, it was able to transfer raw images from an EOS R to my computer very quickly. Far more quickly than my previous camera that only supported USB 2.0. The camera also indicated that it was charging while connected. The cable recommends not doing so, but I'm not sure there is a way to stop it.I would definitely recommend using some kind of strain relieve that attaches to the camera. The USB-C connector is pretty small, and the cable would have a lot of leverage. The JerkStopper would work fine, but one of the reviews there mentioned using some general purpose quick release straps, which is what I'm using.
