Epiphone EMECVSNH3 DR-500MCE Electro-Acoustic Dreadnought Guitar

I've only ever had cheap guitars. I'm not that good to be honest, self taught etc. I never believed or understood that a better quality guitar mattered. I then I decided to treat myself with some spare cash I had to this even though in my mind I'm totally not worthy etc.Well just wow, it blew my socks off. The sound in my living room off this guitar is just stunning. Play a few chords, pick them..like a G to a Cadd9 to a D and it sounds like a record where the main person is playing rather than little old me like it always previously does. There's a fullness to the sound I've not heard before from my guitars. It just carries on. It feels like all six strings join up and mix sounds, rather than sit individually like they always have done on my other guitars.I'll never regret buying the guitar ever. I'm 39 years old and I'll go to my grave owning it.

This is only my third acoustic guitar in over forty years of playing. You can look up the specs all over the internet but my own experience is WOW, beautifully made, sounds as good as any £1000+ Martin, Taylor or other top end guitars. The icing on the cake are the pick ups. Any one will tell you how hard it is to get that "acoustic" sound from pickups but the esonic 2 does a brilliant job, matching if not exceeding such premier makes as L R Baggs etc. In short a beautiful guitar worth twice the price.

For the money it's hard to get a better sounding guitar. Top quality tuners, nut and bridge and the body and neck are very high quality woods. Finish on mine is perfect. Can do with a bit of a set up (like most guitars) but with some new strings, a lowered bridge and some nut work it plays just like a dream. So happy with it.

Purchased this fro Amazon, delivery was ok by DPD and packeging was ok but could have been better,The Guitar is certianly a good looker, it needed tuning out of the box , sounds like the factory tune is a couple of steps down. Plays quite well it came with cleartone 12-53 strings which are a bit heavy for my likeing, changed these to some D'addario and its much better, Action is quite high so its off to the luthier next week for set up.Dont let any of this put you of the guitar is awsome and when set to my likeing will be even more, The electric are cool and the onboard tuner is very accurate,So 5 stars here

Im a professional musician- sound (both acoustic and through amp) is fabulous. I tried this guitar in store before. After i plugged in 2 cables thru' amp, other customer (who was looking an amp to buy) run to me and started to ask questions about this amps amazing quality sound. Showed him Esonic2 system and explained its probably this "fault". It sounds almost like 2 guitars playing at the same time- 2 different sounds which are mastered together by pro sound engineer.Comfortable to play, i like lithium battery system (you need 2 of them). They last much longer and is more comfortable than bulky 9v.Tuner system is very good- comfortable and accurate. I have a very good ear- it matches almost 100% of what I can hear.

Firstly let me start by saying I didn't buy mine from Amazon, I was going to but needed more information before forking out £509 for the natural one which was the one I wanted, just before I bought it I saw a used one for sale so I thought I'd buy that, I can tell you that this guitar is worth every penny of that £509, I would have been extremely happy if I had bought it brand new.I didn't quite get as much information as I wanted from the reviews here so I went for a search online and was convinced this was the right one for me, so I'm basically back here to help anyone trying to make up their minds about this guitar or another brand, or even choose between the 400MCE or 500MCE.I had read about the action of the guitar being very good especially for beginners and intermediate players, you can play endlessly without your fingers killing your after a while, and you don't have to press the strings hard to get good clear sound.The guitar was shipped by air cargo over 6,000 miles to where I am now in a gigbag and cardboard box and stayed in tune right out of the bag, I had read also that they can stay in tune for months on end, unlike temperamental guitars I've owned in the past.The sound is rich and clean I bought this because it resonates the bass tones very nicely.The difference between this and the 400MCE is basically the electronics, the 500 can be setup to play in stereo as it has 2 sets of pickups, physically they are the same size all through, but the 500MCE is a bit more stunning visually with some designs on the neck, fretboard and headstock.I really like this guitar!
