WARNING: VERY ELEMENTARY
Writing this as a warning to others.I have not read the book, I'm discussing the content inclusion. Although I'm sure the book reads very well as do all of the author's other books.I'm disappointed in the direction the author chose to take with this book. I expected something much more technical and less elementary from a book with "Probability Theory" in the title. There wasnt a kindle or pdf available online prior to me purchasing it so I did so blindly. The focus here is on counting and the first integral isn't seen until page 108 for probability density functions. I expected some stochastic processes and a much more through set applications to the sciences at the bare minimum. There are some applications to the sciences in the final chapter, but it is very short (~10 pages). It is much too elementary, in my opinion, for undergraduate physicists or engineers.I'll probably delete my review in due time as my issues with the book were largely due to my personal expectations. I am writing this as a warning to others. Here is the table of contents:1. Preliminaries2. Math Preliminaries3. Math of probability4. probability functions5. Statistical indicators6. Useful theorems7. Applications
