My grand daughter loves this!

So at first we just wound this up and tried to set it in the water. Fail. The little wind up propeller thing would just zip around back to square to one, resulting in like one second of puttering around in the water. Eventually I figure out that if you hold the white propeller in place while winding the green winder it stays wound and THEN you place it in the water. My 4 yr old was able to copy me doing it right but my 3 yr old couldn’t really get it so she gave up on it but at least one kid loves it lolAlso take it out of the water after you’re done w it. Blow into any little holes and set it on a towel or something.We had a baby shark toy that like had a little moving fin and played music and it basically had a sensor that when it touched water it started itself up. Those kinds of water toys are far better than this. I’d recommend those over these. But. These were $6 each so whatever.

The item is really cute, but there are a couple of cons, including the inconsistency with how the toy is described:(1) The toy is not mold-free; water gets inside and will need to dry out sufficiently to avoid mold setting in. Because of its design (openings for water to get in), its ease of cleaning is diminished.(2) The mechanism that makes the toy going water is not efficient. It requires constant and continuous action, which is not ideal for a toddler who wants the toy to operate for any amount of time (even a minute).In all, I think it’s cute for use in a pool/water table, particularly if you just use it as a floating toy rather than one that moves. I probably wouldn’t purchase it again though.

Got this bath boat for my 3 year old. We love a bath and I thought it would be a nice way to add some extra fun for her. The little wind up was actually stronger than I was expecting and this little guy goes zooming off in circles to the delight of my toddler. I will say the trick is to hold the boat propeller while winding to get maximum results. It doesn't hold an obnoxious amount of water like some of these toys and it's easy to transfer in and out of bath time without a huge mess. Haven't had any issues with molding or smells either. Super simple but a ton of fun. Well made and a great low tech addition to bath time.

Doesn’t stay wound up. Just a quick burst is all you get IF you can get it in the water fast enough. Baby still likes it though.
