Good highs and mids pretty much no bass but I bought them because I have a subwoofer so I don’t need bass from the door speakers. These are definitely louder than my stock 2018 Camry se door speakers with factory head unit no amp but my stock did have some bass theses pretty much don’t if you have a sub and want new speakers without a amp these are great for louder high/mids go for it if you got a amp get something bigger for 30 dollars great lil speakers I had to buy a adapter for the speakers and wire harness for about 20

I put these in my 92 Nissan hardbody to replace the speakers that were in there when I bought it from somebody a few years ago they’re sound great and loud. What’s really impressive is it that I’ve got a 1992 hardbody that I bought from in front of somebody’s house for $900 I was delivering Chinese food at the time and I would deliver to this guy every so often and I would just ask him hey if you ever want to sell that truck no no no it’s my son‘s. He doesn’t wanna sell it but one day he’s like yeah my son wants to sell it and it wouldn’t start so I had to go buy a battery and at the time this is right before Covid before prices got crazy on everything and I got this little 1992 Nissan hardbody manual transmission for 900 had to put about 1000 into it to get things working properly, like a new fuel pump, plugs, and wires distributor but she’s a great truck and I love having a secondary vehicle that has no modern BS on it. It’d be really nice if they would make small trucks again especially with these crazy gas prices in 2026.

These speakers are better than nothing, and with proper placement they can produce good sound. I installed them in my 2017 Forester, but because the mounting location was low—almost down by my ankles—the audio sounded muddy. I later moved them to my 2000 Silverado, where they sounded better due to being positioned higher on the door. When I installed them in a box at about shoulder height, the sound was optimal.

Berry nice sound

I installed these Kenwood 6.5" speakers in the front doors of my work vehicle 1998 Nissan Altima that had the factory original speakers that were making all kinds of noises. These speakers fit perfectly making installation very easy! The price was right for a good quality replacement speaker and considering I normally listen to talk radio or podcasts VIA my cell phone this was a solid investment. Wow, these coaxial speakers sound great for a cheap price. I paired these with a 50W per channel receiver, and they deliver without distortion at high volume.

First, I would like to thank the Audio Watt Store for sending their shipment asap! Now let’s get down to Business. It was exactly 25 years ago when I replaced my OEM speakers in my brand new car with the Kenwood KFC 1668S (140 watts/ 92db. Since it has been decades, I thought that possibly Kenwood now JVC Kenwood would have stepped up to the plate being that audio has changed in so many ways. When comparing the new with the old, the only thing that I can detect is the highs are a little clear but other than that, they’re the same speaker. Disappointed? I thought maybe the speaker would have evolved but hasn’t. Keep in mind, when dealing with a speaker of this caliber and size magnet you will not experience a lot of bass. Unless, you connect a subwoofer, or adjust the equalizer in your head unit. I would really like to know how these could be classified as 6 1/2 in speakers. The bass cone measures only 5 inches. I purchased a pair of 6 1/2 inch speakers from Pioneer, they did not fit so I don’t know why they classify these as 6 1/2, they’re not. It appears that if I want better sound, I would end up having to drill additional holes in my door panel, which I really have no interest in doing. I ordered the matching Kenwood KFC-69665S 400 Watt, 3 Way configuration, 6 x 9 speakers. I doubt there’s gonna be any significant difference compared to my former Kenwood KFC-6976 160 watt, 6 x 9 besides wattage.
