Bedlam Plus is a pyrethroid (phenthrin), a neonicotinoid (imidacloprid), and an IGR (MGK).

Bedlam is a pyrethroid (phenthrin), an IGR (MGK), and is solvent-based.

Both have a pyrethroid, which is a synthesized compound of a pyrethrin. Pyrethrins are naturally-occurring compounds in chrysanthemums. Pyrethroids have quick knockdown effect in most insects.

Both have an IGR (insect growth regulator). IGRs disrupt the formation of exoskeletons in insects and similar creatures, so that when they molt they are unable to function correctly. IGRs work towards long-term control by disrupting the egg cycle and will not result in immediate control.

The Plus version has a neonicotinoid. This is included because of the intended goal of knockdown of pyrethroid-resistant populations. Unlike pyrethroids, neonicotinoids have some effect on mammals (due to the proximity to nicotine), and are also a significant factor in bee colony collapse disorder due to agricultural use.

The Plus version not being solvent based means it should have a much milder odor, and be less likely to stain fabrics. Both contain isobutane which is an oil but is so volatile (i.e. it vaporizes) that it may have little to no effect on fabrics.

How long and often do you have to use this spray?

Your suppose to start doing it every 7 days for the first bad infestation then move to 14 days once you see no infestation do this for atleast 3 to 6 months with bed bugs. I honestly did 3 months for a month and a half I did every 7 days and the other month and a half every 14 days. I used this, and cimexa powder for 3 months and got rid of bed bugs that are not effected by other insecticides as im from new york we have some hard to kill bed bugs. I hope this advice helps.
