This has been use as a wood sealant and fire retardant for centuries. NO one will find it the big box stores because its pennies per use. check it out you won't believe what it can do.

Does what as a chemical it is supposed to do. Only downside is that the plastic bottle came with a very much extended and rounded bottom; it will not stand upright, which is a royal pain in the rear.

Appears to be PQ's N grade sodium silicate or an equivalent offset repackaged in gallon containers. Great for lab scale work.

Still testing on wood. Works great as a box and label sealer.
