Review: Had to machine a bushing for my Bridgeport. - It works for my x axis ( I got the 450 in lbs one) it has enough power to move the table in and out. I had read that I would have to modify a bushing in other reviews. It would also be a simple matter to include a bushing for a Bridgeport. I have a lathe so it wasn't a big deal. I suppose that most people who have a mill also have a lathe but I'm also sure that not everyone does. It seems to maintain a constant speed so I really like it.
Review: DONT BUY THIS ! - I gave this 5 stars ONLY to keep them from erasing the review. They claim that this fits a bridgeport mill. Yes it will but you have to modify it to fit. It is not a direct replacement. The key way in the drive gear is poorly machined , Shim pac was missing, and the instruction un readable. The bracket that mounts to machine had to be modified as well The ONLY WAY i got mine to work was to rob parts from other machine to get it to work. After I got it to work the motor was LOUD and runs ruff .If you contact the seller he will ask for pictures. This is a stall tactic. He uses it on other web sites too!!. I am a season machinist and I can tell you, this is JUNK . GOOD LUCK WITH COSTUMER SERVICE TOO ! Cause as soon as he gets you money the warrant ENDS.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can the adapter plate be removed? And if it can, would it be possible to mount this unit on a Bridgeport Z axis?**
A: Trying to get a complete answer for this myself. Partial answer is yes, that this model is for sale elsewhere with an adapter kit for the Z axis, but what that kit consists of beyond the power unit I am unable to find. Detailed info on this would be useful if anyone has it since the price about triples when you get one that works on the Z axis vs. the X axis versions.

**Q: Is this an asong brand as shown in the photos or is this a "bait and switch" seller?**
A: I’m happy with mine! Works great on my bridgy

**Q: What size is the keyway on the brass gear?  3mm or 1/8”? My bridgeport series 1 has 1/8” key.**
A: As 253 answered, you’ll have to file/broach the keyway on the bevel gear to accommodate the 0.125 key. Other than this, I used this power feed without any other modifications on my 1980 BP series 1 2hp mill.

**Q: Do the manual controls still work with this unit installed?**
A: yes.

As most have said, some fitting is required. For me, the key way for the lead screw woodruff key was too narrow and too short. I used a hand file to open it up. Did a little bit at a time. Everything else fit the way it should have. I have a Bridgeport J-head. It works well though. The instructions are terrible. That’s what had me drop it to 4 instead of 5 stars.
