Kidde Mariner 110 Fire Extinguisher for Boats, 1-A:10-B:C, MAR110, 1 Pack

I got these fire extinguishers for my two boats. A pontoon boat and a fishing boat. My place is in Michigan and the local sheriff and the DNR require fire extinguishers to be on board power boats. The fire extinguisher has to be of relatively recent manufacture. Here they require it to be no more than 10 years old. So, I replaced both of my older fire extinguishers with these newer models as a way of meeting the legal requirements of this state.

This brand has set the standard in small fire extinguishers for a long time. These were replacements for the ones that have been on my boat for more than a decade. Value comes from the fact that you can rely on them. The size remained standard so I could have used the old brackets but the plastic gets brittle after a while so I use the new brackets that came with these. The holes didn't line up exactly so I had to drill one more hole but other than that, nothing more to do for another 12 years!

This is the fire extinguisher every boat owner should have on their boats. I have 2 of them. Had to use one that has since been replaced to assist a boater at the launch dock. This one is the only one out of 3 other assisted people whose fire extinquisher actually worked. Saved the boat from major damages.

As described, need to combine with bracket for installation.
