Not bad - needs tweaks
I don't feel the opening is big enough to get much in so my postman rarely uses it even though it's next to the front door. The idea is excellent however.I love how items are safe in there and more than one packet can be posted securely. You also get a sticker with a recorded delivery number on it which you stick slightly inside, so if the parcel needs a signature, the postman can record down this number instead. It can get dirty from the rain (water marks), and when we wiped it it left fibers and smears on it as it's not smooth. We bought decal words to give instructions to people how to use it and put them along the side, as initially delivery men were confused with it. The words also ask them to post us through a card to say they have used the box so we know. However, even though the box is next to the door, they rarely let us know so we can miss things unless we check daily.

C4 envelopes (for A4 papers) are fine.
The other reviewers have described it well, but I just wanted to confirm the size of envelope because it was suggested that it would only just take A4 paper width of 21cm, whereas an envelope for unfolded A4 papers obviously has to be large than A4 size. I have tested the box with an envelope of up to 35cm x 25cm x 1cm and it just goes in. Even though this size of envelope projects from the opening of the box when you put it in, as you lower the lid, the back edge of the security plate starts to drop and the envelope can slid in. So, it will easily take C4 envelopes (for A4 papers) because they are about 33cm x 23cm. A parcel is limited to the stated 36cm x 21cm x 10cm because of its thickness compared with envelopes (and the 36cm width is very tight).I would give it 5 stars if it was a bit better engineered not to rub in various places, but it is very good value at this price.

Parcel box with a lot to be desired.
The design of this mail box is certainly very good however it is debatable how robust it is in general, the rear metal panel that is attached to a mounting bracket is thin tin and gives no confidence it is strong enough for the job in hand, once fitted the box actually sits about 20mm away from the wall which is neccesary for the box lid to open and function properly, the net result of this gap behind, and the inferior back panel makes for a very shaky finished product as opposed to a more and expected secure structure. the moving parts oscillate on tiny rivets and it is difficult to believe they will be long lived. I do not remember seeing a garantee for this box however I hope it is at least a year based on the price it is being sold for.

Impressive sales and delivery service. Looks great (out of the box) - nice and sturdy
Haven't installed yet, but arrived today by a very good courier service, just a day after completing order. Very good that I was able to arrange a couple of extra keys for a small extra payment. I have inspected the mailbox and it looks sturdy and exactly as I expected. Will updated my review once installed and in.operation.Update: 9 months on, and still working well. Was actually able to get an extra couple of keys from local key cutting shop on high Street. Only negative is that it has started to rust a little on the top surface. In the summer I will rub it down and respray with gun mental alloy wheel paint and coat with lacquer spray.Further update at end-Nov 2017: I remain very pleased. I did useca bit of wet and dry paper to key the surface and rub off some light rust that had formed on the top. Then sprayed alloy wheel primer and then gun metal alloy wheel paint, and finally lacquer. Looks better than the matt black when new, and now much better protected against rusting. Also now matches colour of my front door. One thing to watch out for... the washer and nut keeping hinge together that forms the locking mechanism can work loose over time, so suggesting checking and tightening it every few months.

Well worth spending more than I intended.
This is a sturdy, spacious and secure box. Easily mounted on the wall. I specifically chose this box because despite it's sleek unobtrusive style it easily holds a considerable amount including small parcels and bulky letters - this stops the awkward situation of retrieving larger post from neighbours I don't know (previously I have gone 3 or 4 doors from my home to retrieve post). My partner gets anxious about theft including identity theft to the extent he wanted a webcam pointing at the mail box. I am not keen on excessive "Big Brother" technology within my own home. Instead I purchased this box as it is effectively designed so that once mail is deposited it is incredibly difficult to retrieve without the key (of which 2 are supplied).

Good but not perfect
Good postbox with just one or two niggle points. The back of box needs to be strengthened as it flexes when the lid is opened and closed. Padding needs to be fitted to stop the internal flap clanging against the body when the lid is lifted and padding is also required to stop the lid banging against the body when it is closed. I feel sure that without the padding the paintwork will very quickly chip off at these points. All in all though this is the best postbox I have come across for my needs.

It looks ideal, but it's too small
It's not difficult to install, and it's well made and reasonably priced, but I soon learned it was much too small. So I replaced it with a somewhat similar box with three times the capacity and better security features.

Incredable help to my busy work life
Wow. Now my parcels too larger for my letter box will be still left for me, safely at my own address. No more running around the neighbours, or to the sorting office. It is very heavy, well made and incredibly sturdy. No thief hands are getting into this !!Although I'd held a measure up to try and visualise the size, I'm surprised at how large an item will fit into it. (For visualisation purpose) I put a 2 lt bottle of cola into it, and it not only fitted lengthways, but I fitted 2 bottles side by side depth ways onto the tray.It took me 20 mins to install, using my drill, and basic alan key provided. Easy. For fixing I drew a line through the box itself along the small shelf hole (you will easily see when you get it), Just so that I could see the end height of box, before I drew screw holes in wall using fixing plate.Very Happy
