The book is invaluable but the publishers need to update for the modern world, and for ebook.Many of the words in this translation are archaic and don’t really make much sense in today’s world. Like the use of the term “superior psychic” which is not actually something mystical but refers to a higher state of cognitive capabilities.The book has some atrociously low res diagrams which are completely unacceptable. Also these diagrams are ugly, hard to follow and use abbreviations of words which could have just written out clearly to simplify. It seems the publishers have chosen to keep in her original diagrams but they are just not helpful in the current format.Finally, the translation of this book is archaic and overly complex, fanciful at times. I’ve seen a single sentence, put as a question, which took up more than a page on my kindle screen. Actually effective communication, in today’s world, means being concise and breaking up long drawn-out sentences into concise and necessary ones.

This book has the most amount of errors I've ever seen in a book, at least one typed error per page. The actual content of the book, however, is brilliant.

I bought this book to use on my Montessori course. However it is terrible. The text itself is different to what is normally used on Montessori courses, so of course if you quote from this book it will be wrong. The type face used is very difficult to read. There are typing mistakes!Do not buy this version.

This is such a great guide if you’re looking to incorporate Montessori education for your child! It reads more like a text book in its technicalities but is easy to follow along and can help answer any questions you might have. I recommend getting The Montessori Baby by Simone Davies as an accompanying book.

Love this book - a great way to learn about Montessori as a philosophy and methodology

I recommend this book to anyone who's seeking inspiration for educating and teaching children. I found it better than the modern ones on the same topic, it's a mix of history, philosophy and practical manual.

This book is great form the point of view of content but it desperately needs an up to date translation.
