This book is an excellent read for anyone interested in Bible prophecy. Amir does an incredible job of incorporating humor with “head to heart” teaching about the book of Daniel in end time prophecy. He balances the teaching with practical life applications through both an historical and prophetic lens. I learned a lot and it encouraged me for the season and times in which we live. I recommend this book to anyone who is brave enough to not want to keep their head in the sand about this current time of history in the making and what’s to come for both Jews and Christians, believers and non-believers. It’s easy to understand yet deep enough to come away from it with context and encouragement to keep our eyes on Jesus during these uncertain times in which we live. I appreciate how he illustrates the perfect accuracy of historical accounts through a Biblical lens reminding us that God is faithful to keep His promises.

The first book about Daniel is found in the Bible. It’s an autobiographical book of the long life of a genuine hero of faith. When the ancient kingdom of Judah fell, Daniel was taken captive to serve in pagan Babylon. Daniel suffered greatly as this occurred, but served his masters with great competence.Even so, Daniel would not compromise his faith in the God of Israel. God empowered Daniel to interpret dreams of the kings and providing Daniel with visions of future events that would re-shape the world. Most of the prophecies recorded by Daniel have already been fulfilled, but there are several important ones that remain open, ones that dovetail with the prophecies recorded in the Bible’s book of Revelation.I have read and enjoyed other books by Amir Tsarfati (and Dr. Rick Yohn, his co-author on this and some others), so I pre-ordered this one with high expectations. As a student and writer on the subject of Bible end times prophecy, I was well aware of Daniel’s prophesies regarding the end times, but looked forward to seeing Amir dig into the subject.As I hoped, Amir describes the events and the prophecies. He connects them to other Bible verses (which he often quotes in the text). His writing style is very friendly and clear. He uses contemporary events and appropriate humor to keep the connection with the reader. The book explains how the end times prophecies of Daniel connect to actual events that were in his future, but our past, and to the still-coming events of the Tribulation and thereafter, which the apostle John recorded in Revelation. In “Discovering Daniel,” Amir also provides encouragement to readers and thoughts on how the messages of Daniel applies to our lives- it lives up to its sub-title, “Finding Our Hope in God’s Prophetic Plan Amid Global Chaos.”Amir dedicates the book to God and to his family. He is a Jewish Christian who lives in Israel and who previously served in the Israeli Defense Forces. The book was published in early 2024. Appropriately, his dedication also addresses the sorrow and pain from the October 7, 2023 terror attack; he reminds readers that in Daniel (and elsewhere in the Bible), God has set forth His plan for Israel. Spoiler alert: God wins.I strongly recommend “Discovering Daniel.” It is a great companion to Tsarfati’s bestselling book “Revealing Revelation.”

This is a very good book. Amir goes through the whole book of Daniel chapter by chapter and brings the drama of Daniel to life. I couldn't stop reading the first half because it read like a novel, but he added a lot of context to Daniel's story.The second half is all about Daniel's visions (just like the second half of Daniel). I found the information very helpful to understanding Bible prophesy. It was not as easy to read as the first half because there was a lot of information, but it was very informative and helpful, and about as readable as it could be. Amir's sense of humor helped this a lot.Overall, a solid resource to understanding Bible prophesy and the historical context of the times in which it was written.

This is a great book to understand Daniel along with Revelation. Amir is good at organizing the key points in proper context and delivering with just the right dose of humor. I also appreciate the use of extra biblical historical events and other literatures to complement and add clarity to the events recorded in Scripture. Can’t wait to hear the live teaching of this book at the conference cruise!

I read this book with a group of friends. It opened our eyes to how God is working in the world today and challenged us to be more like Daniel. To live in a way different than the world and to seek God everyday. I highly recommend reading this.

I wasn't sure what to expect from Discovering Daniel before starting to read it. Although I know Amir to be a solid biblical teacher, I had thought that the prophetic topic of this book would be overwhelming and maybe a little depressing. I could not have been more incorrect in my assumptions. Throughout the book, Amir does an excellent job of explaining the prophecies of Daniel while also bringing in historical context as well as application to my life as a Christian. He provides explanations that are biblically-based and easy to understand. I found it to be a very encouraging book and uplifting to my faith. What I figured would be a book that I would read over a few weeks, instead I found myself so deeply engrossed in it, that I read it within 24 hours. I simply could not put it down!Revealing Revelation will be the very next book that I order.

I appreciated the smooth writing style and clear transitions relating to current events as they relate to the book of Daniel in the Old Testament. His explanations are well documented and help explain the sometimes unusual stories and events as related by Daniel during the time of Nebuchadnezzar and Darius during the days of the Jewish captivity in ancient Babylonia.

I am really pleased with this book, I haven't finished it yet. I have got past the first part which is historical and am about to get into the prophecy part, if that's as good as the first part it will be a really excellent read. Amir writes in a way that is easy to read and understand. So far I would recommend the book. I listen to Amir on utube and his teaching is amazing and riveting and knowledgeable.

Good learning a d easy yo read

I have finally received the book on May 30thMy heart goes to the nation of Isreal as I started to read. I read slowly many times reflecting on what the Bible says so that I could learn from the Lord as He prompts me. . The book is never another story book. It has the "punches moment like watching a thriller in a movie.I am deeply grateful for this book allow me to" see vividly" from the perspective of the biblical context as current events unfold.I am still reading the book.Thank you for the teaching bro Amir tsarfati and Dr Rick Yohn

It was well worth the wait as I pre-ordered this book months ago. I really enjoyed how transparently Amir writes this book, explaining his own background and the one which impacted Daniel as he wrote. Very clear understanding of a biblical book which has been a mystery to me for many years. I am a huge fan of this book! I highly recommend it for those who are interested in understanding the times we are living in and what to expect next.Splendid Read!
