Hole saw
I purchased this to cut holes for lock sets in doors and it does an awesome job. It’s a solid and well made tool. It’s also very sharp so I was able to cut through the door with ease to get it done quickly.

Heavy Duty but not impressed
This is a very well-built hole saw in that it is of a heavy gauge steel. The arbor that holds the saw is excellent. But the teeth of the hole saw is the weak part. There are only three supposedly carbide tips but they do not perform as one would expect. I tried using it on a plain 2 x 4 stud to make a hole for wires and it bit in for a 1/8 of an inch and stopped. I figured if I stayed with it for several minutes it may have done the job, but after one minute of working it at different angles, I gave up. I really wanted to like this tool but I was disappointed. I recommend skipping this purchase and looking for something else.

Excellent!
This is a beautifully made and well designed hole saw that comes with a sturdy mandrel. I like that it has carbide teeth, unlike most hole saws. They will last much longer and will create some clearance between the wood and the body of the saw, thus reducing friction and heat buildup. The big side slots, to make plugs easier to pull, are also a good idea, and aren't seen on hole saws that have a continuous row of small steel teeth.

Not made for people who have never used a hole saw
No assembly instruction and it comes in pieces. I've not yet figured out how to get the drill bit to lock into the center of the hole saw. the center piece doesn't seem to have an adjustment and the bit simply won't stay in. I assume I can use the saw without the bit but I've been a bit nervous to try it.
