j5create ScreenCast 4K Wireless HDMI Transmitter and Receiver, Wireless HDMI Extender, Support 4K30Hz / 1080p60Hz, 2.4/5GHz, from Laptop/PC/Player/TV Box to Monitor/Projector/TV (JVAW75)

Overall I'd recommend this adapter. It is not perfect, will lose some pixels, and can very occassionally drop a couple of frames. But Ive liked using this adapter in a pinch. The use case is a one floor, two bedroom apartment with a 2024 desktop computer in the living room and a monitor and wireless peripherals in the bedroom. The two bedrooms flank either side of a box shaped living room and are separated by a relatively thin wall with outlets (that can cause interference). I've tested 3 kinds of wireless display adapters in both bedrooms: IOgear GWAVR4K, j5create JVAW76, and this JVAW75. The IOgear was unusable with not only strong artifacting that prevented reading text, but even on static windows the image would never recover. The JVAW76 was OK during a netflix watching session, but would lose connection for a few seconds twice during a two hour movie. I would not consider playing any fast video games on that one. For the JVAW75, the performance by comparison was amazing. I prefer that this adapter does not go through my router and so the connection is simply between the Rx and TX. Connection was pretty straightforward. If you disconnect the receiving adapter you may have to unplug/replug the transmitter for recovery. If you reboot your computer, the wireless adapter re-acquires the signal when the computer gets to the Windows home screen - which is VERY convenient. I was able to read text on both my tested displays, which was an Acer Predator XB272 bmiprz and a Intehill F15ND.q I was actually able to play Spec Ops: The Line at 1080p 60Hz on the screen. The artifacting was not non-existent, but the stream would "catch up" and I had a good experience. Being able to play a third or first person shooter over a wirelsss display is impressive. I'd definitely recommend this product to others.

Doesn't work in my situation. I was trying to use it to connect to a projector but it kept showing a screen for a second and then have to rescan.

Great, simple option for casting your screen - office meetings etc.

Would not stay connected from 40 ft away direct sight, no walls or obstructions. Video was choppy and not smooth.

Looking to cast 4k streams? I’ve been using the j5create ScreenCast 4K Wireless HDMI Extender to cast from my nVidia Shield TV Pro to our 4K Samsung TV. Our previous extender supported only 1080p resolution and was technologically unstable. After installing the j5create extender, everything is much higher resolution. (4K vs 1080p) and stable! Installation is simple. The 4K extender comes in two parts: Transmitter and Receiver. Both sides need USB-A power to work. After plugging in the receiver into the TV, and the transmitter into my nVidia Shield, everything worked instantly. I didn’t have to pick a WIFI channel or anything. The extender acts just like a high quality HDMI cable for my setup. This extender is great for getting your 4K signal to your TV in those hard to reach places. Recommended Pros: -Easy and quick setup: Less than 5 minutes -Accepts any HDMI output: Stream cable TV, laptops, consoles, etc -Works up to 100 ft: I tested distance with a laptop playing a Youtube video and was able to get 50 ft away without issues. (I would have tested 100 ft, but I’d have to go outside and couldn’t see the TV). -HDMI 1.4: All the apps on our Shield worked fine. Cons: -4K at 30Hz: I didn’t test it on PS5 or Xbox since the adapter doesn’t support 4K at 60Hz.

Works on 2 of my 3 Vizio TVs and on any regular monitor with HDMI input, but not on my 3rd Vizio TV, nor on my Samsung or TCL. Works decently when it does work, some lag. On TVs that don't detect it, you never see the J5 splash screen when plugging the receiver into any of the TVs HDMI ports. No one on the internet or at J5 knows why, so it's just a gamble as to whether it will work or not.

We bought this for our board room to replace a 4K WIDI adapter. It has decent range, reasonable quick to connect. A really nice feature is the inactive info screen. When it isn't connected it displays a page to inform the team member on how to connect. It gives both options, the included transmitter and a wireless direct method. No more emergency calls to IT! We have ordered 3 more for the other board rooms. Once star removed for the large delay when changing the presenting source. Disconnecting a laptop meets with a black screen for far too long before the next laptop can connect. This isn't a deal breaker as we advice team members to use the provided transmitter.

Ben lange tijd bezig geweest met meerdere TV's en monitoren, maar het bleef niet werken. Het beste wat ik voor elkaar heb gekregen bij één TV is een korte vertoning van mijn desktop, gevolgd door 'connection failed'.

This is a simple yet clever little device that simplified my previous wired setup and means I am now able to stream and enjoy films on my portable projector much more easily. You can use this for computers, laptops, TV’s, gaming consoles too so it is pretty versatile in its usage. The system provides you with two main components, one transmitter and one receiver. The units are plug and play so no messing around needing to install programs or device drivers. I simply attached the transmitter to my main TV output port and the receiver to my projector input port, and aside from pairing up (which literally takes seconds by the way) the hardest part was deciding what to watch. I have used the projector in the garden just the once to test out the connection which worked perfectly, but due to the weather I have mainly been using this gizmo in the bedroom. I was initially worried about the signal getting through to my third floor bedroom but so far so good and streaming seems to remain stable. I am using 1080p though to ensure a smooth signal as I am so far away from the transmitter in this room. I have tested in the garden and in my daughters bedroom at 4K and haven’t seen any noticeable lag or delays though so that’s promising. Time will tell if I have any issues and I have yet to test out any gaming consoles but I have no reason to think this product wouldn’t work just as well. I may need to alter the consoles display frame rate though down to 30Hz as it currently outputs at 60Hz and this unit only runs at 30Hz. Worth bearing in mind but it’s not a huge issue to be fair. Overall I am more than pleased with this product. It does exactly what it says it should and is super simple and easy to set up and use. The accompanying instruction manual is comprehensive and clear, and the quality of all parts and components that I can see appear to be good with the whole 2 piece units themselves feeling rather well made. I cannot find anything to fault or dislike about this at all and I am more than happy to recommend this device to anyone. Simply brilliant!
