FenixPD36R V2.0 Tactical Flashlight, 1700 Lumen USB-C Long Throw Rechargeable EDC Work Police Duty Patrol Search and Rescue, Emergency with LumenTac Organizer

I've had 18650 lights for a while now, and was wanted to try something a little bigger. Wow, what a difference for not much bigger in size. If you wear baggy stuff or are wearing tactical things, this works find for EDC stuff. I know there is the Pro and Tac version, but I like this 2.0. It's not too bad dealing with the side switch for settings, the strobe is nuclear if needed, and it just has amazing run times on high, medium, and low. 8 hours of 400 lumens or so, pretty awesome. I need to test it more, but so far I'm a major fan of it, and other Fenix lights I have, which I now will be looking to buy more of lol.

Bought it for work. It's nice and bright. I used it on the medium setting, occasionally on high. Be cautious as the head of the unit can heat up. Also note that the flashlight is not designed to stay on its high setting until the battery runs out. I think that the Fenix has a graph showing how long the light will last at high. I like the USB-C since I have plenty of extra cables. I will probably buy a more compact version for work, just for the sake of convenience. I will see if another model has that option. If experience any issues, I will update my review.

I was looking for a pocket-sized flashlight for work and this appeared to be that size, that is not the case. Its bigger than a pocket sized, but not too big to be comfortable to be on your side. It comes with a holster that is easily attached to your belt, carabiner, or MOLLE. The belt loop is Velcro with a d ring sewn at the top. The light itself is weighted well not heavy not real light. Has a great feel to the anodized aluminum case and feels right in the hand. The only thing that is odd to me is it has 2 buttons. The button on the end is the on/off switch, the button on the side changes the brightness. Most of my other lights have one switch and you have to go through the entire sequence to turn them off. I like this better. It's rechargeable so no batteries to replace. A charge seems to last a long time. Even on high which is really bright the batteries held up till 2 in the morning on a recent fishing trip, and it was still going pretty strong. It has a cover over the type C charging port that helps keed it clean and water proof. 5 different brightness settings and a strobe function makes this a really well rounded light. Not sure how far out the it will reach but at 100 yds. I can see enough to see cows and trees. I think the 400+ yards may be pushing it a little far. The price , well, a bit on the high side . not sure its worth the hundred buck, but it is a very nice light.

Great light for pocket carry. Easy to use, super bright, and long battery life.

I own ALOT of flashlights and this has become my favorite. The size is a bit big for pocket carry but not so cumbersome that you couldn't. Brightness is very good, 1700 lumens yeah not sure about that but very bright non the less. It is rechargeable and holds the charge well as long as you aren't using the highest setting. The best part for me is the two button system. One powers it on and the other is brightness. I really hate cycling thru the brightness levels on other flashlights to turn it off.

This is a nice flashlight with some nice features. It comes with a clip and a holding pouch. It features 5 levels of brightness and a strobe affect. "Turbo" is super bright and I believe it when they claim that it is 1700 lumens. Battery life isn't too bad, especially when you use lower settings. I like that you can choose between constant and momentary on. It feels durable. I like that it uses usb-c connector for charging (instead of the old micro-usb connector). Like I said, this is a nice flashlight with nice features... it's just not "$100 nice". It is not worth $100.

I still use a Fenix PD35 from 2014 that's seen plenty of drops but is still going strong. Also a PD35r from last year, and then this bigger brother, the PD36r. Even though this is rated at the same 1700 lumens as the PD35r, the 36r seems to throw more light. I'm also glad they went back to the origional setup with an on/off button on the tail and the side switch to change brightness, I never got used to having 2 butons on the tail like my PD35r has. This 36r is slightly fatter than the 35's, but you get a lot more battery capacity with that so it's a fair trade-off. It'll still slide into your pocket, but you might notice it a little more.Throw seems like a decent compromise between throw and flood. Overall I'm very happy with this, and it's replaced my old pd35 as my nightstand light.

This lives on my hip now. Bright, rechargeable, and ergonomic. I really like the front mode switch to access the strobe. Construction is durable and solid
