Blue Sea Systems Mini OLED Meters for Marine, RV and More

Installed in my Toyota Tacoma to monitor battery voltage. Fit in slightly enlarged hole from 12v socket I removed, and connected with a small harness I made to the 12V sockets connector behind the dash with small inline fuse per instructions. Reads the same voltage as my Fluke multimeter, and is easy to read in light. Not too bright in cab at night (I bought yellow one) been in use for months without issue in both hot and cold temps. Looks almost OEM. Happy with it. Well worth the price over the no-name ones on e bay with cheap quality and overly bright backlight.

This meter looks great and seems like it’s waterproof. Hope it lasts a long while

This is a great functioning little voltmeter. It was important that I used a voltmeter with a display that is easily viewable in direct sunlight. Although a tad pricey compared to other meters of the same purpose this is a quality little piece. I installed this on my motorcycle with a switch as an option to turn it off when parked. Looks great and easy to read in direct light and very bright at night.

Didn't work upon installation. Verified DC power was there via a multimeter. I ordered a replacement and I'll update if the new one is good. Update- new one came in and works great, so far. I love the bright yellow screen in my camper. Much easier to read than the dark blue one it replaced. Hopefully this thing lasts but I'll update this review if it doesn't.

This instrument displays voltage with two decimal places, rather than one, which implies that it is 10 times more accurate than other meters. I compared this instrument to a precision multimeter, and it was indeed measuring within 0.01V of the precision meter. This can be very helpful when monitoring the charge status of certain types of batteries (e.g., LiFePo4).

My motorcycle doesn't have a voltmeter, despite having an otherwise comprehensive digital display. So, I added this one. It looks great, is visible during the day, and not too bright at night. I get loads of compliments on it whenever someone sees it, and Blue Sea Systems gear has never let me down- I've used their gauges, fuse boxes, circuit breakers etc in my UTV and ATV's as well... it's always great gear and stands up to the weather, since it's been designed for boats.

I ordered two Blue Sea OLED meters as follows: 1. Blue Sea Systems 1733 Mini OLED DC Voltmeter, Yellow 2. Blue Sea Systems 1741 Mini OLED Temperature Monitor, Temperature , Yellow Now you would think these two OLED gauges would match right? BUT NOOOOO.... Gauge #1, the DC Voltage meter, is made in Vietnam and has a reflective glass lens. Gauge #2, the temp meter, is made in China and has a matte finish plastic lens. Why Blue Sea would sell gauges that don't even look the same is totally beyond anything I can comprehend. I'm attaching photos and a video showing the issue. Looks awful on the dash. These are going back for a refund and I have lost a lot of respect for Blue Sea Systems this afternoon.

I bought this for my Lead-Acid trolling battery. So far so good. Display is bright, even in sunlight. Accuracy matches my commercial voltmeter I use for work. After having installed for several hours I did notice a very minor drop in voltage reading. In the hundredth's and then the tenths. Which made me question the power consumption of the monitor. So I ordered some 2 prong rocker switches by nilight so I could power it on/off as needed. Maybe not a necessary step, but I just didn’t wasn’t any unnecessary draw on the battery. I like it enough that I’ll order an other for my cranking battery. Right after I bought this, there was a price increase on the blue display model. But the yellow display stayed the same price. I’m not sure if there’s a reason to justify a $15 difference in cost between the yellow display and blue? Is it just aesthetics? Idk? The blue kind floats my boat :), but I’ll be wiring it to a switch. So if it’s not always on display, I don’t think I need to be that critical about color. If it was always on, I’d pay more for my preferred look. So hopefully yellow has the same quality and accuracy. I just don’t understand the $15 difference. I would’ve liked to post pics or a vid but there was some kinda wonky effect going on with my camera while trying to capture the digital display. It would have made the monitor look defective.

1st one ordered aug11,2022 stopped working may20,2024. Contacted blue sea systems to see if I can get warranty support for that one and they asked me to send in the gauge that failed and would send me a new one. So they have good customer support. I like them so much I also ordered a 2nd one to keep track of voltage on my second battery on my boat.

Failed to work straight out of the package , I have a blue version works fine this yellow version was for fuel have requested a replacement could have been just unlucky , someone else’s review was the same failed from new

La lectura es estable, rápida y muy precisa, algo que siempre se agradece en equipos de medición. La pantalla OLED se veía muy bien, con números claros y un tono azul atractivo, ideal para paneles donde se necesita buena visibilidad. Sin embargo, después de unos cuatro meses de uso continuo, noté que el display empezó a degradarse. Algunos píxeles se ven menos luminosos y la pantalla en general perdió uniformidad, dando una apariencia desgastada. Aun así, el voltímetro sigue marcando correctamente el voltaje, pero visualmente ya no se ve tan bien como al principio. En resumen, cumple con su función técnica, pero la durabilidad del display OLED podría ser mejor, preferiría un LCD. Si se va a usar en lugares donde esté encendido todo el tiempo, conviene tener en cuenta esta limitación.
