Great package for £12
I have bought a lot of cheap end variable zoom torches and almost all were between £8 to £20). This is one of the best yet and vies with one other for my “best value for money ” award for the total package provided. The Aplos F30 has a lot of extras for the £11.99 I paid. There is a battery provided ,though it is an 18650 so does not fit snugly and lots of filters and a diffuser. The body of the torch is wide enough for a 21mm diameter battery and can accommodate a longer 21700 with no problem. Despite trying an empty thin AAA cartridge (which fitted) I could not get it to fit with the batteries inserted so perhaps only rechargeable options are possible. At an educated guess the cell provided produced a comparable brightness of around 600-700 lumens in full flood mode when compared with other lights I have. I'm aware that the emitter lumen count does not necessarily translate into brightness but this torch in flood does not seem to have the brightness I expected with the 3000 lumens claimed .I tried it with a top end 21700 Molycell battery and reckon I got another 300+ lumens light output. Over 1000 lumens is not bad for a good thrower light. It may also explain at how warm the light gets as this may suggest a fair bit of power generation. As my means of testing is fairly primitive my results could be out by a fair bit. That said, the F30 really comes into its own when focussed into what becomes a lovely thin beam on full throw, No emitter pattern is visible which is another bonus. I have non zoomer dedicated long throw lights which ,though having a very much brighter output for less than 3000 lumens, do not have a beam of such narrow concentration. Compared to all but a couple of my other variable zoomers , at around 100m, the F30 gives better light clarity than any. The hot spot corona is surrounded by a blue green inner circle with a green yellow middle and a red outer. I quite like these colours and the searchlight like effect for some unaccountable reason. ( light sabre fantasies perhaps?) I know a lot of people frown at this but...The emitter type is not familiar to me yet the effect it gives is very pleasing. There are thin protective covers on both sides of the colour filters; the removal of which was not easy. These go into a rubber cap that fits over the head of the torch. As I type this I am using the diffuser and it is just bright enough to type by without being blinding so is a good camping lantern candidate. It is a bit of a faff to change over the colour lenses on the F30 so if you want something that allows quick colour cycling at the press of a button then this may be a problemIt came with USB C and a belt clip with a long cut out centre slot that would allow fixing a lanyard if one was provided. There is also a USB A socket for the times you need the powerbank function though I wonder if the 18650 3000mah battery will be enough to offer a full charge for high end phone charging. A 21650/21700 could offer more. As I don't have that type of phone I was unable to test it. Nonetheless it is very good to have as a back up!Unusual for the price there is a ramping mode that by pressing and holding the button when on allows a smooth increase/decrease between high and low light modes as well as the usual one click to cycle through high low strobe and SOS.The diffuser is slightly luminescent when switched off and also the inside of the lens glows red for a while too . (Additional points awarded for novelty value from me as a result!)There is turbo but it does not seem to add much when double clicked from high mode but is noticeable from low mode. The body has a nice looking finish, especially with the blue colour around the bezel that gives it a more upmarket look.Balance and grip is good and feels comfortable in the hand except for a very minor niggle concerning the charger cover tab that seems to get in the way of my forefinger when in hand.Screw threads on the base cover are a bit rough but nice machining and anodising on the main body makes up for this and lets face it , it is hidden except when getting out the battery. There is a magnetic base which is OK if used vertically but the torch is too heavy for horizontal hold. For £11.99 I cannot find many faults with this product except for what appears to be a possibly exaggerated lumen claim and potential lack of a non rechargeable battery option.

Great light very bright!!
It's awesome light for the price. Very bright, durable, long distance. I've spent a lot of time looking for something like this. I love that when you center the light, the shape of it is perfectly round unlike others all ugly and square. I've seen a lot of 3 stars reviews on here but I have nothing bad to say about the light it's well built. I have bought multiple and gifted to some friends and family. Great light!
