Smaller than expected. The description said it was 6.8 inches in height. In fact it is only 3 inches tall.It still does the job it was made for and worth the price.After using this for a while I went from 3 to 5 stars. Cigarette holder works great. Holds firmly in place. The two holesare best snuffers I have found. Holds more butts than I thought it would and fits well in car cup holder. Probably the bestash tray I will ever find. So good I bought two more for my house.

I gave mine away and bought another, so that's two good reviews in one. It's small enough to fit in those tiny car cup holders. It could have a light, but I use the dome light if I'm worried about missing it in the dark. I love the snap! as I close the lid. In the dark I can feel for the hinge and flip it open without looking at it, which I consider a safety feature. The only drawback to this container is that the two holes where you put out your cigarette are small and get plugged up quickly. I think they should be a bit lower in the can or a smidgeon larger. But that's just pickiness. I've used this for donkey's years and love it! It's a great blue color, too.

I never thought I'd be impressed by an ashtray, but this Bell model proved me wrong. It's metal and very solid, which is one of its major pluses when compared to the non-metal varieties. (I've tried the other two most popular competitors and both are lightweight plastics, with a cheap feel and look).The size of this is extremely close to a 12oz.soda/beer can. The stays up and down even when traveling on bumpy dirt roads. It has one cigarette rest, but I haven't used it and just wouldn't trust it while in a moving vehicle. On either side of the rest (along the top) are two clever, little cups (with a diameter slightly larger than that of a cigarette) that extinguish the cigarettes easily and quickly. I've also had to toss a cigarette in the container a few times, without first extinguishing them, and they quickly stopped burning after cloying the lid.I highly recommend!

Bought for my mom as she's always throwing her butts out the car window and we're prone to wildfires in our area, drives me crazy! She said she has been using it and likes it because it doesn't smell like some of the others. Only drawback is there is no light. For some reason when I ordered I thought there was a little light in the lid but I must have imagined that. Otherwise, I like the purchase. Just hope my mom continues to use it!

what can you say about an ashtray, for the most part it works just like you would want, however, my cars cup hold is on the center and with the lid on this is I could only set it one way and it made it hard to ash which caused lots of ashes to fall into the cup holder. The lid however it nice because it helps with the smell and you can move it to another spot in the car without worrying it will tip over.

I hate saying I like or dislike ashtrays seeing as I would like to quit. But this fits perfectly in one up the car c up holders and does its' job. I had the "lighted" one from, Oh no, the Big W. Seems like that's the only place that still caters to our kind with ashtrays in the automotive section. It was such a piece of junk that I nearly burned a couple of holes in the console area of my car. My boyfriend (who is trying to quit too) has this one and it's great when we travel long distances.

I do love this little ash tray. Only thing about it I don't like is that I have to carry a toothpick around to clear out the butt snuffers after using it for a day.. I'm not sure if there's really a way you can get around this problem with design, though. If you buy one, you'll see what I mean! Still worth the price, in my opinion. It's nice quality. The butt snuffers do work well, and put a cigarette out in no time.

This is my favorite portable ashtray by far.If the stub holes get filled with ash, poking them with a chopstick will clear them out. Occasionally the hinge will get plugged with ash too, I forget how I cleared that out but it was a pretty routine procedure. Might have used a paperclip. Not sure. All fixable minor maintenance tasks that only have to be done now and then.
