True DMX cables are needed for lighting to work flawlessly. These cables seem to allow all the signalling to be sent to the light fixtures. The connectors seem to be of a good metal quality withe a robust locking feature. The cable ends have spring metal stress protection where they terminate at the connector. Be cautioned this is not a microphone cable, it's DMX which is a digital lighting signal.

I'm glad to finally upgrade my amateur light set up with some real DMX cables (rather than using microphone XLR cables, which are not dependable for lighting).These cables transfer all DMX messages I've encountered, and the length is just what I needed for my small stage/DJ set up!

While in the grand scheme of things, there isn't much to say about DMX cable. As a DMX cable, it does its job and worked just fine connecting a couple of my lights to a control board. The cables seem well made. The connectors are a little stiff, but that's reassuring to make sure a connection stays connected. The lock mechanism works, and the metal housing can be disassembled if repairs are needed, however with ~3 of metal spring strain relief I doubt that will be needed. Its also nice to note that the cable has DMX 512 110Ω High-Performance cable printed on the wire insulation, which I think can make it easier to keep separate from XLR or more generic cables. Also unlike other generic cables I've dealt with, the DMX connectors have a KXable logo on the housing, which means if I want to get some more of these, it'll be easy to look up.

I've been using these with some of my RGB stage lights and they've been working great. The jacket is fairly flexible and I really like the spring metal strain relief, it's much better than the rubber caps.

This product uses quality connectors and cable while maintaining a low price point. I used them recently for a DJ gig to chain lights together and control them directly via DMX signal from Rekordbox. Seems like the product will hold up well over time and does what it is supposed to do. I'd recommend it for home studios, small venues, amateur artists, etc.

These 25ft DMX cables have been great addition to my garage band stage lighting rig. I use one to connect to my DMX controller as that needs to be a good distance away. I use the other daisy-chained to the main light group to connect a special effect wash fixture. The connectors are great and the overall build quality is very good. No issues whatsoever experienced so far. I am very happy with these!
