The One Pot Ketogenic Diet Cookbook: 100+ Easy Weeknight Meals for Your Skillet, Slow Cooker, Sheet Pan, and More [Williams, Liz] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. The One Pot Ketogenic Diet Cookbook: 100+ Easy Weeknight Meals for Your Skillet, Slow Cooker, Sheet Pan, and More Review: Fast, Simple, Delicious. Excellent! - I could tell as soon as I started reading this cookbook that it would be good. The recipes are clearly laid our, and they highlight egg-free, nut-free, and dairy-free for those with special dietary needs. The only problem some people might have is that there are no pictures of the dishes. Each recipe has a graphic that shows how it's prepared... skillet, sheet pan, casserole, etc. That's a nice touch, but I know a lot of people complain if there are no photos. I've been cooking long enough that I can visualize the finished product pretty well, so lack of photos isn't an issue for me. Last night we made Sheet Pan Shrimp Fajitas. Prep was simple: peel the shrimp (make life easy, get shelled shrimp and all you have to do is take the tails off); chop the peppers and onion; get the oil, spices, and lime juice together. Dump everything into a large ziploc bag or a bowl (less cleanup with a bag, but a bit harder to mix) and mix it up. Pour into the sheet pan and bake. The shrimp came out perfectly, and the dish was really tasty. We're not completely keto so we put it on tortillas (don't tell Liz!), but you can use lettuce leaves to be completely legit. Tonight we made the Green Chile and Chicken Bake. It would be hard to find an easier recipe. Mix the sauce... the hardest part is opening the can of can of chiles. Pour it over the chicken, bake, and eat. Delicious? Yes! (My wife was happy that the recipe legitimized her desire to put hot sauce on everything.) This is a fantastic cookbook, and I've already got a list of more recipes to make from it. Buy this book! Review: Great Source Book for Basic Keto Foods - This was the first recipe book we bought when we started KETO in 2018. It made our switch to fat based foods easier. Simple dishes, not focused on recreating foods we shouldn't eat, instead focusing on new Keto dishes. Thank you!

Good Starter Recipes for Keto
I ordered this book because I wanted to try a Keto diet. This book simplifies cooking by allowing you to cook everything basically in one pot, slow cooker, skillet or sheet pan. It has pictures at the beginning of each category, but not for every recipe. I find it helpful to get ideas, but most of the recipes are too much for one person. There are a few dessert recipes for 1 or 2 people, but nearly all the entrees serve from 4 to 8. This way of eating takes some adjusting, but it works. I wish the book would have more tips about the diet, items to put on your grocery list, perhaps at least one week of menus. That would all be helpful to a beginner.

Good Stuff
Seems like a great book so far. I wish there were pictures throughout. Attached a photo of the chicken bacon ranch casserole I made. It was tasty! I'm down almost 40 pounds doing the low carb thing for about 2 months- starting to incorporate more fat, less protein. Here are some tips on making your KETO diet Successful and which worked for me ( a 29 year old Male who started at 210 pounds with a sedentary office job and made it down to 164 pounds and less than 10% bodyfat) 1) Diet coke is absolutely your friend (all the haters will say it mess with blood sugar but I drank 5 a day and dropped weight like crazy. 2) buy Hoodia pills from bulk supplements, I took 2 every morning when I woke up and it helped for sure! 3) buy a gallon water jug and drink a whole gallon of water everyday, it helps when you feel starving, but it is difficult. flavor it up with some sour candy BCAA's 4) if youre at a restaurant, chances are good you can order steak and eggs or some kind of Joe's scramble with tomato slices, or order fajitas without the tortillas, you'll figure it out. 5) you will be grumpy as hell after about 3 weeks ( it passes, but it is normal) 6) buy Quest Protein chips. You're welcome. 7) get a vegetable spiralizer to make zucchini noodles ( I used mine to make the shrimp alfredo dish in this book about once a week) that Alfredo sauce is sooooo good. 8)air fryer! just throw some spices on the whole chicken breasts there is a really good spicy one I use called Kick'n Chicken and put them in the air fryer on the Chicken mode for 15 minutes, then flip and cook for another 15 mins. super easy and delicious. 9)I will tell you that your progress will slow after about month 2-3 and it can be a bit daunting, I started doing p90x in my living room to build up some strength when I got down to about 170, just doing as much as I could, then I got down to 164 and was super skinny, could wear a small shirt and before I was wearing an xl. fast forward 7 months down the road I am a regular at the gym and weigh 180 and comfortably wear a medium and have about 92 pounds of skeletal muscle mass. also, I reintroduced carbs (not noodles, but I am eating a portioned out amount of rice with my 8 oz of meat and 3 ounces of vegetable). hope this helps someone progress, seriously buy those quest chips if you need a crunchy snack.

Not very keto, kinda dumb
This has a few recipes that have become staples in my keto diet, after modification. However, most of the recipes are useless. Either they are just obvious (like a variation on pulled pork) or they are not actually keto, with 10-15% carbs. And they will call for less keto-friendly ingredients when there is a better alternative, like chicken breast instead of chicken thighs. It makes you wonder whether the author has ever actually lived a keto lifestyle or just wrote the book to make a buck.

Your new "Go To" easy Keto Cookbook!
There is a LOT to appreciate about this cookbook. I do have to say, if you aren’t familiar with Keto, it’s best to familiarize yourself with it or this may not be for you. Another review mentioned prior cholesterol issues and wasn’t sure how healthy these dishes should be, but you should consult your doctor prior to starting a full Ketogenic lifestyle, to ensure it’s for you. Alright, now for the good stuff! Pros: Liz did an amazing job at making this simple as possible. Everything from explaining basics of Keto, such as how your macronutrients are broken down, to things you should limit, things you should have and not have, and what items are best to keep on hand. I love that items are sectioned off by meats, dairy, salads, seafood, sweets and so on. The additional labeling on each recipe for vegetarian, dairy free, egg free, nut free, paleo and under 30 minutes is also an immense help. Sometimes on Keto, we get to enjoying dairy a bit too much and have to back off. This helps me know which ones are best for ME, at a glance. Micronutrient breakdown as well as “per serving” breakdown is great. Some of us are great about macro counting, which others choose not to do – this breakdown helps my OCD a little more. Now at a glance, I know what meal will get me to my end of day goals. Each recipe gives what type of vessel is best, and all I can think of is that I’m magically Alton Brown and he’s super proud of what I’m about to cook! These recipes are EASY and will help me stay on track. My family already loves the Keto meals that I cook, so this will be an even bigger help. I HAD to have the Kindle version so I could keep it up on my Kindle as I cooked, but I may do a hard copy as well because my 14 yr old daughter loves to cook and these are simple enough for her to do as well. It’s all about “at a glance” for me and this book is IT. I’ve been long anticipating this coming out and it was NOT a disappointment. Truth be told, chapters 9 and 10 might be my favorite! Keto-ers don’t eat a ton of sweets but knowing these delicious recipes are an option, makes Keto dessert guilt free. You had me at pumpkin and snickerdoodle!! Cons: None – seriously not even one! Thank you, Liz. You did a fantastic job and this will help so many of us! #fitketogirls

Great for busy weeknights, Practical tips for planning and feeding the whole family
Having read other reviews, I expected the lack of pictures within the cookbook. As such, the lack of aesthetics throughout the book was not a deal breaker for me - in fact, it allows her to include more recipes. As a mom looking to make quick, healthy meals, I found this guide exemplary! Unlike other cookbooks which advertise "everyday meals" that include ingredients that no one has in their kitchen (white truffle oil, etc.), Liz Williams provides recipes that every person can make with a fast trip to their normal grocery store. She provides excellent guides in the beginning for planning grocery shopping trips, and how to make a quick meal with the basics of Keto eating. I've even had three dinner parties using this cookbook. Her simple, one pot meals make an easy crowd pleasing dinners that can be prepped and popped in the oven before guests arrive. No need to run back and forth from the kitchen the whole night. Bring out some cheese and meats, a one-pot-wonder recipe for dinner, and finish with a keto dessert. Simplest dinner party ever! I even had three guests ask for the recipe for the Shrimp Alfredo with Zucchini Noodles - her Alfredo Sauce is simply delectable. Although I am to "prep" our family meals for the week, it seldom happens. Most of her recipes include a 10/15 minute prep time and 10/15 minute cook time, for which I am deeply grateful. The best part of these meals is that they are extremely flexible. I have made changes to multiple recipes based on what I had in the kitchen. For example, I replaced the yellow curry powder in her Coconut Chicken Curry with Mae Ploy Thai Yellow Curry Paste - and it's now my husband's favorite comfort food. I added two eggs and pancetta to her Creamed Spinach and my baby barely breathed between bites, he was too busy shoveling in the next scoop.
