Solid drive — just needed more space for my NAS and this did the job perfectly
I grabbed the IronWolf Pro 8TB because my NAS was running out of room, and honestly, it’s been spot‑on. Slotted it in, powered up, and it was recognised straight away with no fuss. It’s been running quietly in the background ever since, doing exactly what I needed it to do.Nothing flashy, nothing dramatic — just a reliable, fast drive that gives me the extra storage I needed. If you’re expanding your NAS and want something dependable that you don’t have to think about again once it’s installed, this one’s been great for me.

Highly recommended
Let me start by saying: this is exactly what I needed for my multi-bay NAS setup. What I love:• Optimized for NAS performance. With AgileArray technology, dual‑plane balancing, rotational‑vibration (RV) sensors, and TLER, it delivers seamless RAID performance even in busy multi-drive environments.• Always‑on reliability. Built for 24/7 operation with an enterprise-grade 550 TB/year workload rating and an impressive 2.5 million hours MTBF.• Peace‑of‑mind warranties and recovery. Comes with a 5‑year limited warranty plus 3 years of Rescue Data Recovery service—nice knowing data recovery is covered.• Healthy NAS integration. IronWolf Health Management means your compatible NAS can monitor the drive’s condition and raise alerts proactively. • Strong performance specs. SATA III interface, 7200 RPM, and a beefy 256 MB cache keep things speedy and responsive. All in all, it’s rock-solid, enterprise-level quality housed in a consumer-ready 3.5″ form.Any downsides?• Spinning rust limitations. It obviously can’t match SSD speeds, but for mass storage, video archives, or backup—it’s still very fast.• Price per TB. It’s a premium product, so if budget is tight or you’re only building for light tasks, other options offer value.Final verdict:If you want a reliable, NAS-friendly drive with enterprise backing and peace of mind, the Seagate IronWolf Pro 8 TB is a standout. Perfect for creative professionals, small businesses, or serious home users who demand uptime and robustness.Highly recommend!

A beast of a drive – loud, but rock solid reliability
If you are building a NAS or upgrading your home server, you probably already know that IronWolf Pros are the gold standard. I popped this 8TB into my bay and it was recognised instantly. The key thing here is that it’s a CMR drive (not SMR), which is vital if you care about your data integrity in a RAID setup. The transfer speeds are consistently high and it feels bulletproof.Just a heads up: These are Enterprise-grade drives, which means they are designed for performance, not silence. You will hear the familiar "chugging/clicking" noise when it’s writing data. It doesn't bother me—it actually reassures me it's working—but don't expect it to be silent like a standard desktop drive. Expensive, but worth it for the peace of mind.

OEM drive not for sale out of integrator
I got the drive but it said OEM not to be sold separate on it, so I will have no warranty with Seagate if any issues arise after 12 months. But it works fine and as long as amazon are prepared to warranty it for the 3 years I shall be ok. Guess time will tell..

Great 8TB NAS Drive — Solid Performance and Peace of Mind
I installed the IronWolf Pro 8TB in my NAS and it’s been exactly what I wanted for always-on storage. Setup was painless, the drive was detected immediately, and it’s been running reliably under continuous use.Performance is strong for a 3.5" 7200 RPM NAS drive—file transfers feel snappy, rebuilds complete in a reasonable time, and it handles multi-user access and frequent reads/writes without bogging down. The fact that it’s CMR is a big plus if you’re using RAID or doing heavier write workloads, since it stays consistent and predictable compared to SMR drives.Noise and vibration are what I’d expect from a higher-performance NAS disk: not obnoxious, but you’ll know it’s a 7200 RPM drive if your NAS sits right next to you. Temperatures have been fine with normal airflow.Overall, if you want a dependable, higher-end NAS drive with good sustained performance and CMR reliability, the IronWolf Pro 8TB is a solid buy.

Scam
Total scam. I paid for two 14TB Drives which were listed showing pictures of the latest Seagate model and as apparently having a 3 year rescue service. What I received were 4 TB's yep...4 TB only but on top of that it's old stock not looking like what's on the pictures at all. They have Serial numbers you can type into Seagate's website which confirmed they are out of warranty - that's how old they are and even if the company says that they offer a warranty themselves, I doubt Seagate would perform a rescue service on drives that don't have a Seagate's warranty on them.

Rock solid.
Very fast, quiet. This is the second one of these I have. On a NAS it outperforms SSDs due to the sustained read and write speeds. SSD to SSD usually drops (unless you have a very expensive type), this just keeps going. 80MB/s over GB ehternet doesn't sound fast, but it is. SMB Windows to Linux.

Excellent 8TB NAS HDD and competitively priced
Arrived very quickly and installed easily into my NAS server as a hot swap for a faulty WD Red. Very pleased with it's performance so far.
