Bifold Barn Door Hardware
I built some custom bifold doors for the closets in our attic bonus room. The hardware works great and easy to install. They are also strong enough to hold the weight of the doors which was an issue with other hardware I tried previously.

Amazing door hardware!!!!
Okay, so this is my first time building doors or anything like this ever. I had a the standard white cheapo contractor bifold doors, and I couldn't shut them because my washer and dryer are way oversized for my washroom. So, I looked for something to replace them, and bifold barn door hardware was recommended. Here are my tips and tricks from my experience:1. DO NOT USE THE SHEETROCK ANCHORS. They are cheap as hell, and they will not even hold up the weight of the bar. I tried a heavier duty set, and NOPE. Use studs.2. If you have any existing door trim, then USE A HEADER BOARD. I found this out the hard way. The hardware did not line up with any studs, so I had to drill extra holes into the support bar in order to hit at least 2 studs to support my doors weight. HOWEVER, I realized that with door trim, the doors will NOT open or close properly, as the edges will hit the trim. It must be spaced out from the wall. I used a 1x6 header board and it spaced out the door perfectly. This also allows you to use all of the existing holes on the hardware, as you can just use deck screws to mount the header board to all of the studs.3. Make sure your bar is level. You will regret drilling all of those holes and it not being level, because your doors will not sit flush with each other. There well be a big gap at the top or bottom of spot where doors meet.4. You do NOT have to use the floor anchors. I did not want to drill through my new flooring or my concrete. The doors work just fine without them. If you are worried about the doors tapping the trim or wall, then add sticky felt furniture sliders to the back side of the doors. It works just fine.5. I built my doors out of 1x6's and 1x4's. They are 7 ft tall, and each door is 20" wide (3 1x6 and 1 1x4 per door). I bought the 88" door hardware, and the max door size is 82", so my 80" total door width worked out perfectly.6. You will have extra bolts and hardware, and I could not figure out what they were for in the instructions. Also, the instructions kind of suck. Adjusting the middle door sliders height is a guessing game for sure.7. You will love these door sliders. Buy them.

Great Quality and Look!
I was very pleased with the quality of the kit and the doors glide very smoothly on the tracks.

good hardy door kit.
The only thing I did not like was the lower pivot mount has to be place in the floor built my own bracket with steel making a channel so I could adjust the bottom pivot in and out be nice if they had something for attaching to floor trim as option B. Aside from that heavy pine doors working great on it for the closet.

Look Elsewhere
It was more troublesome to put these up then it was to build the doors. Before I ordered this, I reached out to the seller to find out what size doors would be needed for the size track I was buying. They specified 17" doors, so I went ahead and built 17" doors. Then, I received the track to find that the instructions recommend 18" doors. My second issue is that many of the screws were not properly milled, so they did not have the cross-hair indentation to fit the driver. They were simply flat on top. This required me to buy screws from the hardware store. My third issue was the horrible instructions. They were almost unusable. My fourth issue was a missing set screw, so I had to attach the stop with a single set screw instead of two. My fifth issue was the poor design overall, but especially in having to attach the rollers after the doors are up on the pins, which requires squeezing your hand in about two inches of space behind the railing to tighten the roller set screw. Overall, this product is a bloody mess. You can get a good final outcome, as I did, but expect it to take an entire day of frustration and make-shifting.

Smooth track, installation tricky
My installer drilled the holes on the door slightly too far from the edge and the doors could not close right. Nit sure if it was his fault or not. He drilled new holes approx 0.5" closer to edge and it works great. Good thing I can patch the door and paint it.

Looks nice
Good quality. Heavy metal. This hardware is very good quality. Directions were clear and well thought out. The only issue I have is the wide gap that is visible. I wouldn't mind a bit but I feel this is too much. I don't know it it is a design flaw, maybe the mounts under the rail could be shorter, or if it has to be that far outin order to pivot. Anyway. It's up and I do like it. If I were to buy a regular barn door hardware, I would definitely go with this brand.
