I needed it to be on an incline to prevent reflection from the window.The built quality of the stand is really good and the rubberised cushions will prevent any scratches.It's compact and can be carried anywhere in it's case.As you can see one of the hinge is free going and the other one has a slight hold which prevents abrupt folding if the stand is moved accidentally.The expansion mechanism also has some resistance for the same purpose.
