GameMastery Map Pack: Ice Cavern

Unlike most the GameMastery cards, this one is both glossy and very well detailed. Considering its just tunnels of snow and ice, the level of detail in every card make these not only visually appealing but also make each card unique.It should be noted all the cards are paths which, while they do fork, widen, or intersect with one one another, never grow into rooms larger than 3 tiles across. "Cavern" in the title is misleading, as all the cards are just tunnels that can be arranged into any combination. It should also be noted the picture given is not of one of the cards; there are no spaces that big nor is there any water.As long as you're fine just buying a bunch of narrow tunnels you won't be disappointed with the quality of this product.

I own a dozen of these Map Packs, produced over the past five years (older ones are not laminated). I will be buying several more. Paizo's products are superior. I do own two of the Flip Mats, and find those more difficult to work with unless you have a clear Plexiglas/Acrylic covering over them. I prefer these card stock tiles much more as I can CUSTOMIZE the scene for the setting or play space, the flip mats require more table space. These can combine with other sets as well and thus open MANY MORE OPTIONS. Do know that, not being covered they may move during play incidentally. I would gladly take that versus the thicker DnD boxed map tiles as the Map Pack requires much lets to readjust. The ARTWORK easily compares to them, and thus make a better product overall. I use both figures (metal/plastic) and Steve Jackson's Card Board Heroes (with stands) but prefer the latter.
