K 5 Power Control

I have a small 25+ year old Karcher electric power washer. My primary use was the annual power washing of the knock down texture pool deck. Two years ago, the original wand started acting up. In email exchanges with Karcher Customer Support, I learned that a simple adapter would allow newer wands to work with my old pump. I could have just purchased a new package, but I hate to scrap mechanical things that are still working. Noting that I needed the adapter for the new wand, I asked whether my old pump had enough pressure and GMP for this Surface Cleaner attachment. Although it was at the low end of the spec, I decided to give it a try. Glad that I did because it works well on the pool deck. In the past when I used just the wand, I would wash in one direction and then come back an wash in the opposite direction to remove the dirt that accumulated on the other side of the texture. The whirling action of the surface cleaner takes care of that in one pass with less water and less splashing. After the surface cleaner loosens the year's imbedded dirt, I still come back with a quicker pass of the wand to wash all that residue to the side.

QUALITY GERMAN Engineering, design and assembly. I love the KARCHER brand. Light years better than the Cheap Chinese brands. Extremely good value for the quality. Cleans quickly. Good Pressure, Fairly quiet, Interchangeable attachments. Super powerful for a small unit. This was bought to replace a 20 year old KARCHER that finally bit the bullet. Cleans Quickly. Easy to assemble and use. Pay just a few dollars more than the Cheaper ones, these things will last and last.

This works perfectly with my Kärcher power washer spray gun. Shaved hours off of power washing my driveways and walkways! I took one point off because the extension pieces could be just a tad bit longer.

First opening the box, I was unsure about the lack of "heftyness" of this attachment. But it works just fine and did a wonderful job on our deck which was deeply stained from the trees overhead. Turned out great.

After having owned two previous Karcher pressure washer units, with the latter still in active service since 2006, I decided to take a chance on purchasing this small electric powered unit. All I can say is “WOW what a mistake!” This one arrived quickly from Amazon, but after opening the box and seeing no metal components at all, I began having doubts. But I decided to go ahead and try it out anyway. Once everything was “snapped together” (completely tool-less assembly), I hooked it up to AC power and connected the water supply hose. The water hose connects to the unit via a two-piece plastic quick-disconnect adapter. The male part screws onto the unit and the female part (with sliding release ring) screws onto your garden hose. When the two pieces are connected, the release ring snaps into “locked” position. To disconnect, you simply slide the release ring away from the junction and the lock releases, allowing the hose to disconnect from the unit. My plastic disconnect adapter had additional feature functionality as a value-add. All I had to do to disconnect the water hose from the unit was to turn on the water faucet. Every time I did so, the hose would automatically disconnect from the unit and spray water all over anyone standing close-by. After lowering the rate of flow to only a trickle from the garden hose, I finally managed to get to the power switch before the connection blew apart again. The spray output from the pressure washer was decent for almost 20 seconds before halting for 2 seconds and then building back up again for another 20 seconds before the water supply connector failed again, blowing apart and soaking everyone nearby. Why would an experienced German maker of pressure washing equipment EVER even consider shipping inferior plastic water supply connectors with a product? And why would they even consider putting their good name on such a complete pile of cheap plastic garbage like this? Cutting costs? Subbing out manufacturing to the Chinese, who regularly supply substandard crap like this? Two words to wrap this review: TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT Three more: DO NOT BUY

Excelente diseño, muy compacta, alta potencia.

This particular product worked extremely well and was very easy to use! I am very happy that I got it, and I will be using it for many years to come!

Love this brand in general, cleaned our pavers easily. Made them look brand new! Will be adding this to our spring cleaning routine in the backyard. Would purchase again!

He tenido la Karcher K 5 Power Control 2000 PSI por más de un año y puedo decir con total seguridad que es una inversión que vale cada peso. Desde el primer uso me sorprendió la potencia y eficiencia con la que limpia, eliminando fácilmente la suciedad más difícil en superficies como pisos. Lo que más valoro es su fiabilidad: en todo este tiempo nunca me ha fallado, siempre ha funcionado como el primer día. Además, el sistema de control de potencia es muy práctico, ya que permite ajustar la presión según la superficie a limpiar, evitando daños y asegurando un resultado impecable. Si buscas una hidrolavadora de alto rendimiento que combine durabilidad con facilidad de uso, la Karcher K 5 Power Control es, sin duda, la mejor elección.

La compré para reemplazar otra karcher que me estaba dando problemas y en sí funciona muy bien, tiene buena potencia y me gusta que se puede regular la presión del chorro. Ya incluye un filtro pero también recomiendo usarla con un filtro externo si el agua tiene muchos residuos

This item was fine but I was misled by Duxotte's description into paying £30.00 more on the belief that this was an electric upgrade to a similar model. They refused my request for partial refund and I note that they continue to miss- describe this as an "Electric Power Washer"
