Do batteries come with the iluminator?

Does not come with batteries. ***Important note*** .....do not buy CR123 substitutes. They typically put out 3.7 volts instead of the 3V using the 123s. I used a substitute and it fried my light.

Is it safe to assume the IR is included since it is a day/night scope?

i couldnt determine if it comes with a ir flashlight or not but turns out its so shitty they recommend you buy a better one, so why didnt they just not include this bullshit and save us some money. now i have to throw this crap out and buy another

Why does it say that fakespot says that only 13.8% of these reviews for the scope are real?

I think Fakespot may be a little pessimistic, BUT... if you filter by Verified Purchaser you get a different sense of things. (meaning Amazon knows they purchased it... YES, you can review something on Amazon WITHOUT purchasing it). With the filter on there are 480 4/5 star reviews vs. 110 1/2 reviews. Without the filter it's 870 4/5 reviews vs 130 1/2 reviews. Hmm... Awful lot of unverified positive reviews...
