Does what it’s meant to do. Keeps my threads from fluffing and tangling.Wish I found this along time ago.Very handy to have.

Useful for smoothing thread

Two blocks of wax in their own plastic holders to smooth threads for hand sewing. These appear to be the same as others on the market and of a similar price. The threads draw easily through the gaps in the holders and pick up a coating of wax to make hand sewing easier and keep threads from twisting. Of the two blue threads in my picture, they are two strands of embroidery thread, the one on the right having been drawn through the wax. It it clearly smoother and the strands are closer together. The item does what is expected and is fit for purpose in my opinion.

Pointless, waste of money. Leaves a residue on the cotton. and very oily

This is badly described to say the least. There is no metallic, glow in the dark or any other sort of thread in this set. The pictures show reasonably clearly what you get, but the description seems to have been cut and pasted from somewhere else and badly needs editing.What you get are two plastic cases which contain white wax and yellow wax. These supposedly add a smooth coating to your thread to help it glide effortlessly through fabric. I just found that it clumped on the thread and wasn't really that helpful.Overall - disappointing.
