Good quality and cheap
I bought this razor to accompany my Dovo razor purely so that I can do away with the honing and stripping required. The razor itself is very well made and I can not fault it what-so-ever. It takes a little getting used to for the correct angles etc. but all in all is exactly what’s on the box. A few nicks first use, though will get better with additional use.

Cheap construction
I bought this razor because I like getting a close clean shave. It performs well and the single sided blades are very cheap. The scales of the razor are made of a cheap lightweight plastic which was a disappointment. Apart from that, it has been a worthwhile purchase.

Will give amazing shaves with practice
I bought this as I also use a safety razor and have a couple of straight razors that I use regularly, but always fancied trying a shavette. At first I found this quite harsh in comparison to a straight razor, and I got better shaves with a safety razor, so I just shelved this for a couple of years.Well recently I goy it out again, and I've been getting amazing shaves from it, much better than my straight razors, and closer shaves than my double edge razor. The improvement is probably down to better technique, and perhaps different blades (I use boots DE blades now).If you're interested in traditional shaving I'd suggest getting one of these before diving in and getting a straight razor, as the expense of a decent one along with the tools to maintain it will easily run to £200+.A shavette like this simply uses a DE razor blade snapped on half lengthways. The shavette is in two half's with a locking cap that slides over the top, so to load you fold the locking cap back and slide the two halves apart, then load the 1/2 blade against the locating pins and lock it back together.I get 4/5 shaves out of half a double edge blade using this, I can't be bothered to work out the cost per shave but it's CHEAP .In contrast a straight razor is quite expensive to maintain, requiring significant outlay and regular maintenance.I do rotate my various razors and styles, but this is my current favourite , so thoroughly recommend

just the same as much cheaper ones.
Same quality and results as the cheaper alternatives. Nothing special here
