One of the best griders on the market, Im very surprised
This grinder has to be one of the best grinders on the market, and for the price, it is a must buy. The precision machining is evident throughout and every part feels sturdy. Solid metal material, design and milling. Ive included pictures of all of the various parts, which are each made of quality material and craftsmanship. The grinder cylinder base has reverse threading and screws off clockwise, so, opposite of normal counter-clockwise loosening. This is to avoid loosening during use. The metal tri-bit screw on the bottom holds everything together and can be loosened and tightened for desired grind size. The way Ive learned how to use it is to turn the adjusting screw clockwise until it bottoms out. You will then need to turn the bit counter-clockwise at least 6 steps to safely grind espresso fine grain coffee. Turn the dial another 8 clicks (for a total of 14 clicks from bottom out) to get drip grain size coffee.I havent had this long so I will update my review if anything changes. So far, I dont anticipate having any issues at all with this grinder as everything is well built. You should invest in this grinder now before too many people find out how good it is and drive up the price.

Fantastic portable burr grinder!
This has been an MVP for my deployment and supporting my bougie coffee snobbery. The grind is consistent and uniform. It is very easy to use. It always yields nice, smooth coffee. One thing to note is that this is very, very heavy, but it is absolutely solid. Definitely BIFL and definitely a requirement to have in your coffee kit if you travel and want to grind your own beans.

Good hand grinder
Works good for espresso. Brings out some good flavors. I recommend going slow with the handle to get the best flavor. Used it for a few months and like it also works good but switched to a flat burr electric grinder once I knew I liked espresso. I would definitely buy again as my first grinder.

Great Product, Horrible Instructions
This grinder does exactly what you want it to do and does it very, very well. Highly recommended. We bought this to add to our coffee snob travel kit and to have for power outages (here in Florida) so we don't have to degrade our coffee preparation experience under abnormal circumstances. This is compact, quiet, and easy to use. Instructions for using this are hardly necessary as it is very intuitive. But . . .. . . The one thing you need instructions for is set your preferred grind level and here the instructions are a massive fail. Plus, there are markings inside the grinder for setting coarser or finer grind. The instructions don't match the markings and neither are clear to use. Here's how to set the grind: Unscrew the catch cup to expose the underside of the grinding mechanism. Install the handle and grip the handle and grinder body with one hand so the handle keeps the shaft fixed in place. Turn the grinder so you can see the underside and look for the 3-cornered trefoil mechanism on top of a round plate with the threaded shaft coming through the center. Spin the trefoil mechanism to set the grind. Turning clockwise exposes more of the shaft and puts the plate closer to the burr wheel and results in a finer grind. Backing the trefoil back so less of the threaded shaft is exposed results in a coarser grind. Unless you regularly switch from French press to espresso grind this will be a one-time setting for you. (If you do need to change grinds regularly you may want to invest in a second unit.)

Good quality and easy to configure
I have to admit is my first manual grinder for coffee beans, so I passed from a electric grind with blade to this one, and the difference is notorious, starting with uniformity in grinding and of course at the end the flavor, so for me the result is very good.I'm still in the process to gain strength in my arms (depending if the bean has high toasted could be a little hard to handle it).The configuration and cleaning until now is easy so I recomended

Great for the money
Does a great job "cutting" the coffee beans without breaking the bank. Good starter bean cutter to see if I really want to take the time to do the work every cup before I spend big on a real good one.

This grinder is a solid and well-engineered item. In 30 seconds I have perfectly ground coffee ready for the pour over basket. Impressive machine for the price.
