Sincerely, Her Gangsta

Sincere + Honesty
*slight spoilers*The love Sincere and Honesty had was everything! Sincere took his role in Honesty and her children’s lives seriously from the jump. It was evident by how intentional he was in his pursuit of her and Phoenix and Orion as an extension of her. He treated Honesty’s children like his own and prioritized their comfort, as anyone pursuing someone with kids should. Sincere was determined to provide those kids with the childhood he’d been denied because of his drug addict mother and absence father.Regarding his mother, Shantel, she was something else! A lot of Sincere’s struggles were directly related to her inability to put her son first. Yet, she was upset that he found happiness outside of her after everything she put him through. Sincere was correct when he said her attitude was giving jealous lover instead of mother. It also didn’t escape my notice that Shantel’s and Honesty’s situations were nearly identical because they were both abandoned by their baby daddy. The only difference was that Shantel was 16, and Honesty had twins, yet their reactions were completely different. Shantel viewed her child as a hindrance and burden, which led to her needing drugs to escape her heartbreak and reality. On the other hand, Honesty viewed her children as blessings from a bad relationship that motivated her to be the boss she was and prioritize their happiness. Sometimes, how you bounce back from being knocked down makes all the difference.Honesty had a beautiful spirit, and I loved how her gentle energy balanced with Sincere’s brutal nature. HOWEVER, I side-eyed her for how she chose to deal with Grey. He was wrong for how he handled her in that restaurant, but I honestly believed he had learned his lesson and grown after his first attempt at speaking with her. Honesty didn’t put her children first when thinking about that situation and just focused on her hurt feelings. She even doubled down on her decision after Sincere and other people in her support group told her she was possibly causing more harm than good to her children in the long run. This was BEFORE Grey started acting crazy out of frustration to her avoidance. In all, this book was extremely well written. I’d grown attached to the characters and was invested in their happiness. That shows how well Mya’s pen is as an author because, as a reader, I was fully submerged in the world she created and fully engaged in the story.I look forward to reading more of this author’s work!

Wow, Just Wow
I've read of few books written by Author Mya, but I was reminded to read this book while reading a Monica Walters book where Mya was the inspiration. And it mentioned that this was her fan favorite. Let me just say, I probably read a book a week and this book is easily top 3 of my 2024 reads so far. I mean, from the well crafted back stories, to the realness of their situations, to their honesty with each other, and of course their growing love along with the heat in their chemistry, I'm a Mya fan now and about to read the whole catalog. I inhaled this book in 3 days and it left a masterpiece lasting impression. Wow, this was REALLY good!!! And I didn't want it to end.

Sincere💜💜💜
I was late to this book, but it was such a good read! I really enjoyed all of the characters and the storyline. I’m still semi-new to Mya, having only read a few of her books but she did her thing with Sincere and Honesty. This was a light read for me; although there was a little drama, action, grief, and treachery, this book was more focused on the budding love of the main characters. The way Mya sprinkled the necessary components into this story to make everything flow was spot on. I loved that we got to see the growth of Sincere and Honesty; even if they had some setbacks, they bounced back and got it together in the end.Y’all know I love a hood dude who loves his woman down, and what Sincere brought to this book was everything. Wheeeew, that man had me gone as soon as he stepped on the scene with that grill😫 I need some more of him in my life, so I hope he appears in future books and… I guess Honesty can tag along😒

Sin and Honesty
Honesty faces a dilemma and makes the best of it. Her encounter with Sincere proves to be both lucrative and pleasing. This book had just enough drama to be realistic and read worthy.

Swoon
Wow, for Honesty to pick up the pieces of her broken heart to then be a mother of twins. It was seriously a trying time for her. I can see why she out her heart on lock and just took care of her babies and business. However Mr Sincere Allen was not playing he knew he found his wife and it was full steam ahead. They did have some bumps, but with communication and the love they shared, they were able to overcome them. Overall, great read

And another one
Mya, Mya, Mya!!!! When i say u got the right amount of EVERYTHING in your books, i really mean that! The way u evolve your characters is top tier and u are quickly becoming one of my Top Fives. Sincere is the epitome of the type of man i want. He’s hard but soft, he’s in touch with all of his emotions and not just the hardcore. I should’ve known when i read that he likes to listen to R&B instead of Rap music. The fact that he’s not afraid to show his soft side and the fact that he loved Honesty out loud spoke volumes. Now Honesty was THAT girl! And i loved how she didnt turn Sincere away when he made his intentions known to her. I like how she didnt play hard to get. I truly enjoyed every page of this book and im soooo looking forward to reading your whole catalog. With that being said, im off to the next one!!!
