I have a beautiful Sandalwood Clock which was gifted by my parents a long time back. But over time the mechanism that originally came with the clock stopped working. I really didn’t want to throw the clock away and I stumbled upon this. I love the continuous motion of the second hand and makes it feel and look more premium. I’m yet to have any issues with it. Was super easy to install and put in place. Just make sure you have the measurements of the outgoing mechanism in as you would need it. This one fit in like a glove and was pretty affordable if you ask me as the clock it went into has a special place in my heart. I truly LOVE IT!! Thank you guys!

So this was an easy fixBut let me say Amazon lists this as frequently returned. I would say this is due to mis measuring the space requirements. This item comes in many lengths of shaft. Too short and the shaft won't go through, too long and you have a faceplate cover it may not closeAlso there different styles like bolt in and snap in as well as some have hooks. So most likely the returns are ordering wrong item. There are also hand length variations.Measure correctly.One downside is the snapin unit has a shaft of 8mm. I had a snapin with 4.5mm total length shaft. I think that is discontinued as I could not find anywhere. So my clock has a glass front. I measured the space it was closeI managed to put in the 8mm shaft unit with one sheet of paper thickness to spare. Whew. Had that not worked I would have had to put some small pad spacers and glue the movement in.Bottom line. Measure twice or more and order the correct size the first time.
