DEATHGRIP Grappling Tape (1.25cm)

TapTape is my go to tape! I’ve used other brands that I’m not gonna call out, but for my level of training and conditioning this is the only tape that could stand up to the challenge. If your going back and forth on which tape to choose think about it like this if it’s not TapTape then it’s getting tapped tape because this product definitely submits the competition, thanks for keeping my fingers in working order! I've been doing bjj for almost 2 years now and I can't live without tapes. I train 6 days a week. I've used muller tapes for bjj and this is way more superior than muller in many ways. First, it doesn't leave the nasty residue like muller. It stays longer and stronger than muller. Also you don't have to rip it into small pieces since it's already cut out for you. If you do bjj or grappling this is the tape to go for.

Really wanted to like it. Good size and nice smooth finish. You may or may not like the lack of stretch, less than traditional cloth tape like climber's tape, I like a little stretch so I can wrap fingers firm but still flex them to grip collars and sleeves, a personal preference. BUT.... Doesn't stick well. After warmup at bjj the ends of each finger wrap came unstuck. I've used many tapes, some stick well and others don't. I've tried being super careful to not touch the last bit, but that makes finger wrapping tedious, and only works marginally better. A bit more stick would make it much better.

I purchased this tape after learning it was coming out and stickier than the previous version. I personally thought the previous version was fine for the tape products I have used, but sometimes you get sweatier than usual or you're in a humid place. Well this stuff stands up, and I like that they used a different color so I can quickly identify it in my bag and it's nice to be able to use different tape on different fingers or different days depending on the weather or the workout I have planned.

Great product. Holds up very well during rolling. One day when I was at the airport I saw a 747 sitting there on the runway. I wrapped my fingers with tape and went out there telling the guys with the wands "I got this." Well, the plane didn't budge. Still great tape though!

Holds about as good as any medical / athletic tape without the tearing or cutting required for fingers.

Not good enough adhesive to stay on during training. As soon as I start sweating it begins to fall off and it didn't adhere to itself well enough. I've tried taping my fingers different ways with no success. Regret buying so many rolls of it :( A waste of money.
