Excellent Product & Great Deal
The Anlapus DVR system (1080P 8CH+4 1080p cameras with 1TB HDD) is very easy to setup, and the app is very user friendly and reliable in network connection. You can also control/set a motion alert, take an additional snapshot, recording, or play back a recording from the mobile phone. The DVR is a small and attractive enclosure with quiet system, it has a hybrid input function which is compatible with my original CCTV cameras. With an 8 channels input DVR, beside my cctv cameras, I can include 4 more cameras from the package with 1080p high definition resolution. Those 1080p cameras have a high quality picture that includes night vision and motion detector features. There are still more features that I need time to find out. I would say it is very worth to own it for this price.TC

The worst service
I contacted this Anlapus explaining to them the issues I was having regards to here download they keep referring me to google app for download. The app does not work. AT ALL. My first email to them was explicit to Persis issue what was going on. It took them 3 days to respond back. Response was sorry for the issue we are here to help. I wrote back for them to read what the issue was. I get a diversion response which has not validity to what I had asked them. It has been 4 days no with out any response back. There product is JUNK. There is no customer service.DON'T BUY THIS its not worth the frustration.

Great unit for the price; You get what you pay for
UPDATED 3/16...The Good:- Everything boxed up nicely, easy to open and start installing- The hardware (cameras, DVR) and wiring all appear to be nice, solid quality- Value; At $175 for the core features includes, it's a great deal; Similar at Costco range from $300-500- Despite the horrid UI (more on that below), the video playback on a monitor connected to the DVR is really nice quality, but hard to navigate and is a bit slow - but it is a traditional (disk) hard drive, so that's somewhat to be expected- Night vision works great- The smart features (motion detection, scheduling, alerts, etc.) - haven't played with them all yet but appears robust- Customer service, in particular email/messaging responses to Amazon reviews (i.e., this one) are good - they're offering to help with the issues listed below, so we'll see what happens...The Bad:- Instruction manual is clearly written by a non-English speaker and includes misspellings, grammar issues, missing spacing, extra characters, etc.- The DVR is loud; Now, it's not to say this isn't normal, just wasn't expecting it to make much (or any) noise; The noise is the fan (cooling) running 24/7; I wish it was quieter; It's about as loud as an old tower PC or laptop with the fan running full speed; So, not loud relative to noise in general, but certainly loud relative to other office type equipment- The UI for the DVR software is very poor - looks like it came out of 2002, and the mouse movements are choppy- The mouse (hardware that came in box) is a very poor quality- Even at just $175, it should have come with all the wiring needed; It does NOT come with Ethernet or HDMI cablesThe Ugly:- Watching the cameras via smartphone app doesn't seem to work work on my home wifi. Tou can download the app, install it, register and link up to the DVR, but the point of all that is to view the live video or replay, and that is what simply doesn't work; It shows a still frame and then a connection error. However, on my cellular network, I can watch the video streams, which is actually very cool. I don't understand why it doesn't work on wifit.- New issue: The alerts don't seem to be working; Perhaps I have it set up wrong, but not sure. I have my email entered into the setting and alerts set up, but haven't received a single alert for motion sensing; I've watched animals walk through, set off the flood lights, etc. and no alerts.Tips:- You'll want to plan out where you'll want the DVR to be placed, as well as where the cameras will go; Then measure the distances (including turns around corners, etc.) between the DVR and the router (Ethernet cable), DVR and monitor (HDMI cable), DVR and cameras (camera cables); In my case, I need to buy a longer Ethernet cable and get a 20 ft extension for one of the camera cables- Much easier to install with a "buddy," especially when you're fishing through walls or adjusting the camera angles vs. what you see on screen

Awesome customer service
I've had this system since February and I absolutely love it. The picture quality is great and the price can't be beat. For me, the set-up was a little bit tricky because my previous security cams were set-up way different. After pulling my hair out for 6 hours I finally got online (Zosi Facebook page) and left a message for them to contact me. I figured I'd get an answer in the morning. Within 2 minutes of leaving them a message Lucy came online and assisted me in getting my system up and running. Fast forward 7 month later. I added 4 more cameras to my system but could not view the 4 new cameras. I tried looking online and looked at Youtube videos but they didn't solve my problem. Once again I went to the Zosi Facebook page and within a few minutes there was Wu to help me. I explained that the problem wasn't with the security system itself but with the App. Wu had my problem solved within 10 minutes and I'm back in business.

Not worth a dime
Okay at first glance I thought the product was decent. However, after a few months of owning it, it is trash. The app always freezes which will not allow me from checking the camera feed, the cameras do not record unless you are watching the feed. So if you are not home and somebody breaks in, it does not record that activity unless by chance you happen to be watching the feed on your phone. I have to reset the box about twice a day to get the feed to unfreeze.Do yourself a favor and purchase a different set of cameras. This specific kit is not worth a dime.

Great system
Cameras are easy to install and set up. The dvr system is easy to use and has many setting and options. You can access the cameras from your phone and also set up alerts that are set to a schedule you create to be sent to your phone. I contacted customer service and they were great and responded to me and answered my question very quickly.
