Time To Chill

I was specifically looking for a coloring book that did NOT have repetitive patterns like mandalas, because I want different things to color. I think I would get bored easily with similar/repeated patterns. This coloring book was what I was looking for. I bought the Prismacolor Premier 24 ct set and the matching sharpener (you WILL need to sharpen A LOT as you color haha). Because there are so many different scenes in this book, I do wish I bought the 36 ct colored pencil set instead so I have more color variety. The sharpener is superb as well. I love the two sharpening angles (wide or narrow) because I only like to use pencils that have a short wide point. Back to the book, again, the scenes to color are lovely. There’s a Test Color Page; the front cover is scored - meaning you can fold it down neatly so the page is flat when coloring; the pages themselves are not perforated, so you cannot tear it out - but each coloring page is one-sided. Lastly, on a personal note I bought this book because I am going through a tough time at home. My mind and body was/is riddled with stress and anxiety. This coloring book allowed my mind to focus on a single task for a short while without having my thoughts constantly stray back to stress. So if you’re going through a tough time, I just want to remind you that you are strong and you can do it. And, buy this coloring book.

I like the images in this book. They have a lot going on which I hope will keep my attention, because I tend to get sidetracked easily and then bored. The randomness in the images of this book captures my attention in every detail thrown in, so that’s cool. The pages are on the thin and smooth side, but the backs of the pages are blacked out. May need to use a different piece of paper to make sure the black doesn’t transfer into the picture behind it when I am coloring. There are only 41 pages of actual coloring pages. The description says 40, but I counted the page that says “this book belongs to __”, since it can be colored.

What I love most about this book is that the photos are SO cute, but not kiddy. I do not like greyscale coloring books - they don't end up looking good afterwards. A few pages had some ink smears in printing, but it's very light and doesn't bother me. My only complaint is that they used quite poor quality coloring paper. Maybe it wouldn't be so much of a problem if I had higher quality/softer colored pencils (I just use crayola) but the paper is difficult to color, it doesn't pick up a lot of pigment. Also, it's great that the back of the pages are back, but markers will still show through (but not bleed!) This is not a book you want if you're planning on using anything wetter than a typical marker. Sharpies will bleed. Over all: I really love the art! I love it so much I am considering scanning and work with a coloring book company to make me a personal use version just so I can use watercolors/aqua brushes/my current coloring pencils and have it still hold up.

Cute patterns and like that the pages are one sided - but is NOT good for markers. The black backing on the pages makes coloring with markers (which DO bleed through to the next page unless you put a liner between) a bummer - the color is impossible to see correctly as you go - and really until fully dry - everything has a gray dull shaded cast to it because of the black-backing and the markers bleed a lot on the paper around where you’re coloring, making fine details impossible.

Purchased two books to give as a gift to my mom. We have both been enjoying the pages. The drawings are very fun to color, and each page has a black background on the back so the gel pens don't bleed through. You will not have to color on the backside of the pages, which is great. Highly recommend this book.

I’m obsessed with my Staedtler water based markers lately despite the streaking lol. They’re just so juicy and fun to colour with. And I just finished page one and thoroughly loved it! The art is lovely, full of flora and fauna and unique scenes. A great buy! I always love Vivi Tinta books :)

El libro tiene dibujos muy chulos, me parecen originales porque son escenas de naturaleza, sobretodo, con animales en objetos cotidianos: En una caja de música, una amasadora, un reloj de arena, una lata de refrescos, una cafetera.... El pequeño fallo es por un gusto personal: La parte trasera de los dibujos es negra, muchos libros la llevan y se supone que es para que no traspase los rotuladores de alcohol, que igual lo hacen. El caso es que ese negror hace que se note menos blanco impoluto la parte delantera, y ya si lo comparas con otros libros de parte trasera blanca... Pero me lo quedé igualmente.

Gorgeous designs on every page. Strong cover and lots of pages, each with a black back, so the pen ink doesn’t seep through.

I love this book! Not only is the content appealing, the quality is amazing. The pages are black on one side, making them perfect for alcohol markers. Even better, I forgot to put a bleed sheet between the pages, but there was no transfer onto the next page
