Just read through several sections briefly...
I felt that he touched on very many good subjects. However, I'm the type of person that has her fingers in so many pots already, I just didn't want to have to be led through many multiple scenarios of what one should apply to their life to be perfectly well. I have done many of the things he already prescribed, including room ozone machines, although I may consider another one since I live in South Charlotte and I recently found out through my dermatologist, I have a fungal infection (nails separating from bed) but prescription is an oral tablet to kill it, so it could be coursing through system, not just nails. It may just solve my tiredness problem I've had for years since I relocated here in '05. There is much fungus in this area, big wild mushrooms grow in our back yard during the moist summer weather! Nevertheless, I want to also purchase a better water filter, so will need to study his recommendations on that. Good health to everyone!

The Seven Pillars of Health
Most excellent book. Dr. Don Colbert has done major research to write this book as evidenced in the many pages of footnotes. He also writes from experience. This book teaches you the main seven areas of health in which we all can make changes God's way! It is filled with scripture and is backed up with a salvation prayer in the end. No change can be accomplished without God's help. Both my husband and I are nurses and STILL we learned a lot and have a long way to go! We have made several changes in all seven pillars and will continue to make the many changes to maintain our temple the way God wants us to. With change and obedience comes blessings! We are reaping the blessings already. Doctors and friends and family have noticed changes in our health and have purchased the book also. The book IS NOT A WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM, but we have lost weight as a gift for being obedient! A must read for all, no matter how healthy you think you may be! To God be the glory!Thank you!

Best Complete Health Book Ever!
This book is awesome. If covers so many aspects of health. It's an all in one, complete book on how to fully take care of your overall health, which includes drinking the RIGHT water, taking the RIGHT type of multi-vitamins, cutting out foods with additives, getting enough sleep, etc, etc. He covers everything. I love reading books about health and nutrition which usually covers a main area but Dr. Colbert goes over every aspect of health, which some I had no clue of. I had never heard of Alkaline water until this book and now I am all over it. I have read tons of books on this subject and loved them all but this by far is the most well rounded book. It's a very eye opening book and Dr. Colbert bases everything on the Word. He says it himself in this book, if it doesn't aline with the Word, he discards it. I think everyone should read this book, it's great! Pick up your copy today. I bought one for my mom and aunt. They love them. Check it out and see for yourself!

CREDIBLE AND PRACTICAL
A very detailed, very credible book which provides practical and packed information.Unlike some books it mentions research done in each topic.And there is a sort of summary and action plan for each subtopic.There were so many nuggets in the book I felt I just HAD to share!My only complaint was he said "don't throw out your toothpaste (even though it had poisonous fluoride). Instead, teach your child not to swallow the toothpaste."For heavens sake, it's almost like telling your child to put weed killer in his mouth but to spit it out afterwards! It sounds a little like pandering to the toothpaste manufactures.But he was clear about the providers with the conventional medical establishments penchant for using drugs with their many side effects, to treat symptoms and not the root cause. I respect his writings in this book as a rare, honest doctor who knows nutritional medicine really well.

Seven Pillars of Health
As a library director, I have access to any title we purchase for our collection. However, this is one I HAD to buy for myself at home. It ranks in my top five books on improving my health. The ideas are basic - - things we have always been taught but they are presented in an interesting way - - and in small pieces so you can digest one bite before proceeding on to the next. The great part is you aren't just told "what to do" but you are given explanations for the benefits of choosing certain behaviors or nutrition. You also are told the consequences, e.g., not getting enough sleep, not drinking water. Sometimes when we see the negative, it is an incentive to incorporate the positive. I am so impressed with this book that I am buying copies for my friends - - - especially those with chronic health diseases. If you are only going to buy one book on any health or weight issues, this is the one to purchase.

Simply Superb
This title is the second I have read by Don Colbert, and it is MUCH better than my first, "Toxic Relief." In this book Colbert describes seven pillars of health crucial to anyone seeking to live a healthy lifestyle: water, sleep and rest, living food, exercise, detoxification, nutritional supplements, and coping with stress. His comments on water, sleep and rest, and coping with stress are probably familiar to most readers. In these areas, he reinforces well what many people already have learned. His comments on living food, detoxification and nutritional supplements however, are fairly unique but still based squarely on medical and biblical insights.I recommend this book highly. It will take some time for me to implement everything he prescribes -- in fact, I may never implement everything he prescribes here. Still, he is very much on the right track, and offered a well-balanced, biblical approach to health and well-being that is unrivaled among contemporary authors.

Loving it! Soooo Recommend it!!!
This book is amazing, been wanting to buy it for a year now, as I was fascinated to hear this doctor speak on health issues on television, but I hadn't jotted down his name, only a few months ago, I found this book for sale at a church and then got it via Amazon, what I love about the book, is that He writes it in a very simple easy to understand way, although He is a doctor, he speaks very plainly and goes straight to the point.I also wanted this book, because I had been experiencing tiredness and just generally unwell and unhappy body at 32, but neither me or the doctors could put the finger on it, straight away as I started reading the first chapters I realized what part of the problem was, followed the advise and the results were visible within days.Also found it very easy to follow as it is structured as a diary so you would read a new fact and advice per day, which breaks things up making it easy to digest.Another thing I love about this book is that is from the point view of prevention, I am sick and tired of maintenance, I prefer prevention, I don't want to get to my 40's feeling like an 60 year old, this book is a treasure and a must have for good health in general, and best of all very easy and fun to read which is usually quite hard to find in this category of reading.

Excellent. Helps you to realise how your body works and what you need to do to sustain it healthy. Now realise that water is the source of all life and can help with weight loss.
