Premium Quality Vacuum Cleaner Bin Foam Seal Gasket for Dyson DC25

I replaced the hose and filters on my old Dyson dc25 and saw this bin foam gasket, so I thought I'd replace that as well. There are five screws to remove from the bin lid (make sure you have the correct fitting screwdriver head) and the gasket is easily seen and replaced. Make sure you check that the bin empty release spring and the plastic bit is correctly in position and that's it, screw the five screws back.Not sure what the old gasket needed replacing but it hasn't ever been changed before.Now the suction of the Dyson is definitely improved and it is certainly not as noisy. Well worth the effort.No problems with the seller, delivery, or the quality of all the filters and would certainly use again

DC25 not working properly - pre motor filter choked every time you used it?I’ve had this problem twice, the first time Dyson “fixed” it under warranty by sending me a whole new drum assembly.The actual problem is the thin gasket between the pre motor filter housing and the drum/cyclone – it fails, falls to bits and disappears somewhere.When this happens the cyclones don’t work properly and all the stuff that should be spun out into the drum hits the pre motor filter instead.To replace it you need to remove 5 small torx screws, replace the gasket and refit the screws - you also need to make sure the spring/plastic part that open the drum to empty it are in the right place on re-assembly.It should take no more than 10 minutes for someone competent in DIY.Then it works normally.

I don't know what the purpose of this part is, but my existing one had been tattered into shreds for about two years. This new one replaced it easily (using a hex screwdriver) and is a perfect fit. It has made no apparent difference to the functioning of the vacuum cleaner, but has at least marginally improved my peace of mind!

Perfect fit, quality and price. Dyson do not supply separately - you have to buy complete cyclone unit which is very expensive if all you need is this gasket.

I noticed this was a bit worn after I washed out my Dyson.I purchased this from Amazon, it arrived quickly. Put it into my clean Dyson and WOW, what a difference in suction. I could not believe it. It's like a new vacuum!
