I initially wanted a new lava lamp but when I was looking around Amazons lighting products I saw this little beauty. It looked really cool and immediately I wanted it, but to my suprise there were no product dimensions in the items description.I wanted to put it in a specific place which was a cubby hole in a cabinet but was unable to tell if it would fit due to no sizes being displayed as previously mentioned. I estimated it to be approx 12" high, 8" wide, and maybe 2" thick meaning it should fit snuggly in its intended home so I placed an order.The lamp arrived within 3 or 4 days and from the packaging it looked like my size estimates were pretty accurate, that is until I openned it. It was securely packaged and easy to open and had a reasonable weight to it, except I was initially disapointed as it was approx half the size I estimated it to be.This lamps dimensions are approx 6-7" high, 4" wide, and 1"thick which meant I could've fitted 2 in the cubby hole where I was going to put it. It is well made and finished and the lighting effect is similar to a lava lamp with the colour changes working horizontally not vertically, and it cycles through different coulours and looks really cool.It came with a mains adaptor which has approx 6 feet of length but to my disapointment there is no on/off switch, you have to either unplug or pull out power lead from lamp if you want to turn it off.Overall I am happy with this lamp as you get a cool light changing effect and there is no risk of overheating or dropping and breaking like with a lava lamp which could be really messy if dropped. The price is over £20 with p&p which is a bit more expensive than your average lava lamp but even some of them now cost £20 or more so all in all I am happy with it.The reasons I gave 4stars instead of 5stars were:1. No description of lamps size on product description section2. No on/off switch meaning lamp has to be unplugged

I bought my first light in 2013 and it still works today.I was so happy with it I bought 2 more (and would of bought more), one in 2016 and one in 2021. Both of these failed in the first few months, either the lights broke inside or the transformer broke.To me, this says that the company either lowered their standards on manufacturing or buy cheaper components. The problem is, a product gets a lot of positive reviews based on how they used to be and when they lower standards they can ride a broken or inferior product for a long time off those positive reviews.

I was pleased with this and impressed with the weight and quality but the light was rather greenish. I had expected it to be bright red as in the picture but my son is happy with it anyway and uses it as a nightlight.

I ordered this for a relative with disabilities and am sure he'll love it in his room, however, it is quite small although this can have its advantages in a smallish room. Nice colours.

I had looked about to find something different after a spate of LED light flops. This came as a nice suprise. Its very well made and changes through a range of colours. Very relaxing.

Ended up as my christmas decoration then decided to keep it on display, placed on window sill highlighted an art deco glass vase I love it ...may good comments

Gave four stars because description implied that it changed colour which is why I wanted it, but I kept it anyway becuse it is very pretty.
