The EVALD heavy-duty floating shelf brackets are excellent! They feel very sturdy and support shelves well without sagging. Installation was straightforward with the included anchors, and the 6-inch size works perfectly for fireplace mantels or home office shelving. Durable, reliable, and a great value for a 4-pack. Highly recommend for anyone looking to mount floating shelves securely.

I feel compelled to give these brackets 3 stars but I will leave it 4. I purchased 16 brackets for the 8 floating shelves I was making. Upon opening all four boxes, I lined up all the brackets and only three were perfectly straight. All the other 13 brackets were way off (see first photo). The ONE silver lining with this, is when I went to install the shelves, I used two brackets that were off in opposite directions which helped apply pressure to the shelf and make it slide on tight. However, the box that the brackets come in state quite clearly on the top that the brackets are "Guaranteed Straight." So I guess that "guarantee" isn't quite true. I wrote their customer support about this and they replied by saying the brackets were "within the accepted tolerance" and also bet me I couldn't find better brackets with a higher tolerance. Not sure I believe that one. Regarding installation, installing the brackets was pretty easy. I was smart and laser cut myself a jig (2nd photo) out of 1/4" MDF to perfectly align the brackets with the holes I drilled in the shelves. I know not everyone has the ability to do this but if you can, I highly recommend it. I just pushed the brackets into the slots, leveled the jig, then marked my holes. Super easy. My shelves were 1 3/8" thick White Oak 24" long and 12" deep. They were quite large and very heavy but the brackets were pretty solid to hold them up. However, the weight of the shelves caused quite a bit of sag in the brackets. To counter this I shoved a piece of cardboard (3rd photo) under the bottom of the bracket and then cut it flush (4th photo). It wasn't perfect, as I mentioned the shelves were quite heavy, but it worked a bit. The drywall anchors that come with the brackets are quite beefy and I liked them a lot. They were very solid. DO drill a 3/8" hole for them as per the instructions.

These were perfect for my needs. Made a full face cypress mantel attached to a beam 8 in. Overall dimensions are 7 feet wide, 12 deep. 8 in high and weight is about 200 pounds. I used (4) 8 inch brackets and a horizontal support on the top edge of the brackets. They DID NOT bend nor crank, nor FAIL. I put my additional weight on at one point to install the heavy mantle. A sledge hammer and cussioned 2×4 to bash the mantle in place...and they are indestructible. Will buy again from this vendor when needed.

I love these shelf hangers, and easy to work with especially with the drilling jig. Makes it nice for making and hanging a shelf without visible supports. Heavy duty too and each has an alignment notch and a spot to insert a locking screw to keep shelve from moving. There is a lot of above average workmanship in these brackets.

Technically they'll float a shelf, as long as you don't plan on putting anything on it. As mentioned in other reviews they're not even welded. If someone would have had the desire to make a quality product, and actually weld them, I'm sure they'd be fantastic. Unfortunately, they don't have that desire, and didn't. Any decent pressure and the support bar is going to pop off. I had multiple fail with nothing but the actual shelf being mounted applied to them. They're well thought out, the jig works perfectly. Maybe they should offer a set properly welded for whatever the upcost would be. I'm sure plenty of people would be willing to pay for a set that could support actual weight.

I am in the process of making a custom built mantel for our fireplace & these brackets should do the job. The previous owner of our house took down the original mantel & replaced it with a 1x4 board and added a silver strip to the face of it. And as far as I can tell it was attached to the brick with brown construction glue & zero hardware...who does this? Anyways, the brackets are solid & should attach & hold the newer 60 pound mantle no problem. The included hardware is nice, but I will also be using some much longer screws to penetrate to the wood studs behind the brick to mount the brackets, along with some toggles for a superior hold. I have purchased this company's brand of brackets before for a smaller floating shelf & they are holding great. When I finish the project, I will be sure to add some additional pictures. If I drill my holes correctly into the mantel, it should slide right on these floating brackets for a seamless effect.

Arrived on time. These were purchased to place fireplace mantle legs to a brick fireplace. Instructions were easy to understand and it came with everything needed.
