Overpriced
I've been purchasing Sevenhills products for years now, and apart from their recent change in packaging, which is incredibly annoying because the packets no longer stand up on their own, I've never had an issue. I can't comment on the quality of this Turmeric, but for value I won't be buying it again. It was my own school boy error I suppose. I didn't pay attention to the package weight. I didn't think I needed too I suppose. I bought at the same time their Chia seeds, which incidentally feel over after I removed the top tear off on to the work counter, and spilled because of the poor packaging design. The chia seeds were 1kg for £9.99. The Turmeric was also £9.99. But you only get 200g. So a star removed for the value compared to other products. And another star removed for the poor packet design.

A versus whole product used in home cooking and herbal tea.
As someone who likes to cook a lot this came in quite handy for making some of my curried dishes!I also infused it with some of my herbal teas and it was quite refreshing .A nice smell a good taste and use as required. Overall I am happy with this product!

Nice product
I'm a regular customer of Sevenhills but I hadn't tried this Turmeric root product. Very quick delivery and very good quality as always from this great company. This makes a delicious tea, I would buy again.

Lovely turmeric! 😊
I use turmeric a lot when I cook Caribbean and Asian food. I also like it in tea. When I saw I had the opportunity to order this, I didn't hesitate. When it arrived, I could smell the turmeric through the pack before I even opened it. 😍 The turmeric comes dried and chopped coarsely in a 200g pack. The best before date on mine is March 2025.You can use the turmeric as it it for teas or grind it further to make ground turmeric. You can use ground turmeric for tea, cooking and baking etc. It's great in curries 😍. It's got nice flavour. 😋You can also use turmeric in beauty applications. The pack is big and will last you quite a while. I definitely recommend this turmeric. I think it's great. 🤩

Gorgeous as part of a blend of spices for my own warming tea
This is great! Decent shelf life in a resealable packet, and shredded rather than powder, so PERFECT for infusion. I blend it with cardamon, ginger, cinnamon and clove and it's (IMO) absolutely lovely. In making this brew, I used only a small amount of each spice, including the turmeric, and found the flavour to be spot on - which, for me, herbal tea bags rarely manage.I'm really pleased with this - it's strong enough in taste that it's going to last a good long while as I need to use so little in each serving, and it's organic to boot.A fine product.

Great flavour and aroma, not so sure texturally
This is good, strong-scented turmeric - so strong indeed that it could be smelled even before opening the packet. The turmeric in little chunks, which isn’t a way I’ve received it before. The pieces look like little bits of honeycomb. These have an interesting texture that’s slightly chewy yet hard and crunchy at the same time and add little pops of concentrated flavour. Personally I find the pieces an awkward size that sticks in my teeth. They seem as though they should be easy enough to grind down further in a mortar and pestle or mini chopper (though here there’s risk of staining) if needed. This comes in a resealable plastic packet.

Spicy and aromatic
This Sevenhills organic turmeric is, like other products from their range, a premium food product. This turmeric is not ground, but rather constitutes small pieces that can be either ground in a food processor or added to infusions or food dishes directly. I have added it (unground) to curry and found that it significantly enhanced the spicy flavour and vibrant colour. The turmeric is packaged in a resealable bag, and is thus easy to store and keep fresh. Very highly recommended.
