Asian Home GourmetSpice Paste foe SINGAPORE HAINANESE CHICKEN RICE 50g

I’d seen an advert for Waitrose Hainanese Chicken but couldn’t find the paste in my local shops. A quick check on Amazon came up with a supplier. The paste came in sachets with sufficient paste for one meal, which is perfect - better than using part of a jar which may well go out of date before you next need it. I have nothing to compare it with but the results were great, producing a simple but very tasty poached chicken and jasmine rice dish. The sachets have their own recipe suggestions printed on them too.

The paste was not for 4 servings at all... wrong description is given, the rice didn’t had the proper taste for a chicken rice.You need to use two for 4 servings, from my experience. So I had to buy it again.

I purchased this without realising that it only contained 50g so only enough to make one dinner. Therefore i felt it was quite expensive for such a small amount of paste. Not good value for money.

This is by far the best Hainanese chicken rice mix I have tried. Perfect results every time, the flavour is full but not overwhelming. Just add the flavour sachet to the rice and water, and cook as normal. Definitely recommended!

Excellent taste and easy to prepare. Taste like the real Hainanese Chicken Rice you get at restaurants, you can do it yourself at home
