Research has found that "if a company only uses the words Alpha lipoic acid" they are not given you the R form and most likely the synthetic form, but which 1? The one that can cause more nerve pain or the 1 that is a placebo 2 ingredients cancelling each other out. I've spent money here to help my symptoms and these product has made them worse all.

This bottle of Alpha Lipoic Acid capsules arrives sealed, in a black, Charava branded cardboard box. The bottle is made of glass and measures 9.7cm tall, with a diameter of 5.4cm. From an environmental point of view, not only was the glass bottle a good choice, but it was good to also see that the bottle was completely full.The lid is easy to unscrew as there is no childproof lock. The inner seal is also easy to remove thanks to the inclusion of little tabs that help you to peel it off.The dosage on the label is 2 capsules per day, meaning that as there are 60 capsules in the bottle, there are only enough to last a month (30 days).The capsules themselves measure 2.3cm long and have a diameter of 8mm. Although they have an easy to swallow shape, due to their size, some people might find them a little difficult to swallow.A dosage of 2 capsules is said to contain 1000mg of Alpha Lipoic Acid.The only other ingredient listed on the label is Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (vegetable capsule shell).The capsules I received had a Best Before date that was nine months from the date I received them. Frustratingly for a British product, this date uses the American format of month/day/year which has the potential to be confusing. The date was written using the UK format on the box the bottle arrived in, however, you are likely to throw that box away as soon as it arrives.These supplements are said to be suitable for both Vegetarians and VegansIt’s always hard to recommend supplements because what works for one person may not work for another. However, if you wish to try Alpha Lipoic Acid, then this is a very good quality, pure way of trying it. The packaging, glass bottle and clear label are all high quality too. The capsules are well packaged in a brown glass jar, which gives the impression that the manufacturers care about the quality of the product. I have looked in to taking ALA for its detoxifying effects so I was pleased to get these. I can't comment on their effectiveness so far, but I have no negative side effects from taking them

These come arrived in a sharp looking box and a quality bottle. The capsules anrrived all intact - they are quite large. I appreciate they come in recyclable packaging and are suitable for vegans.I have no doubt to the quality of the ingredients, and the dosage of ALA is high at 1000mg per serving (2 capsules). 1000mg per day, which at this price (£19.99 at the time of writing this) is really expensive considering it’s only 30 servings. But it seems from my research that dosage falls in the recommended limits. However there is no nutritional daily value established for this supplement (hence %DV on the bottle having no value).I’ll carry on taking these and see if I have any noticeable reward, but I couldn’t afford to keep buying this, work out the price for a year and you’ll see what I mean.

I read up online about these a few weeks ago and it came up on Amazon as a suggestion based on a number of supplements i had been purchasing for several months already.It suggests it is a versatile antioxidant known for its ability to support cellular health and fight free radicals, which was something i want to ensure is in tip top shape having had a very difficult 18 months since the pandemic.This is a 2 capsule a day, 30 day (60 capsule) bottle, delivered in a thick, fancy cardboard box as shown in my photo's. It also has vegan friendly capsules, so can be taken by almost anybody.I've been taking it for a few days and will continue to work through the bottle at the suggested dosage.The capsules were sealed inside the bottle on arrival, the packaging and the writing was very clear and easy to follow, a very impressive way to present your product, have not seen a boxed bottle of tablets for a long while, if ever.Anyhow, as with a lot of supplements, check the dosage and if it meets your needs, the unit cost is always shown on Amazon next to the price, so it is helpful if you are trying to work out what best suits your needs or your pocket if you plan to take something long term.

This is a very clean ALA supplement, with the only thing added being the capsule shell, which can be removed if you want the powder on its own.I take ALA to support eye health and for managing blood sugar. I take it in the morning or before my first meal, alongside berberine, and I find that it definitely helps keeps my blood sugar levels stable, even after a carb heavy meal.I haven't noticed any particular benefits to my eyes, but I didn't expect to, I assumed it would work in the background to support my eye health, which is what ALA is known for.I appreciate the glass jar, even if the lid is plastic, the fewer microplastics the better, and it is tinted to help keep it protected from light.
