Tilda Legendary Rice, Pure Original Basmati, 20 Pound

I spent 20+ years in Asia, and I obviously am picky about rice. This does the trick. The rice is very long-grained with a natural but not overpowering sweetness. It has that delicate rice fragrance that you just don't find outside a fine basmati or maybe a really nice jasmine. It steams beautifully in my double-boiler rice cooker, but I'm sure it will be behave nicely anywhere. Easy to digest, light, fluffy, and really adds to the meal. In 20 years in Asia I don't think I've ever had rice this good. Gonna be buying this again!

I was shocked and disappointed; I never thought that this would happen to me; when I open the package; I found many small plastic pieces all over the rice, I dig more and more into the bag, and I found that it is all over the rice, Honesty is the key to your business; this is considered a cheating consumer; the law prohibits this kind of act. Of course, I had to get rid of the bag because I did not feel safe using it after what I saw; it is a Shame.

I first purchased this rice in May 2020 (10 lb bag labeled "BEST BEFORE 02 NOV 22"). It was great with a rich fermented flavor. I just purchased a 20 pound bag July 24, 2021. I received two 10 pound bags labeled "BEST BEFORE 02 JULY 22". This last batch was purchased 1 year later, but the rice was 16 months older when delivered. This rice is low quality with no flavor.I will purchase this one more time to see if Tilda has fixed their manufacturing process.

We use basmati rice in our daily cooking. Tilda is the best there is. This rice has been properly aged to achieve the perfect hardness. It is highly fragrant and of course, the flavor of the basmati from Dehra Dun, the foothills of the Himalayas. Worth the premium price. Best served with teaspoon of 'ghee' or couple of pats of butter
