Awesome UHF Helical Antenna
I Have Always Been A Big Fan Of UHF Helical Antennas, For Both Transmit & Receive Characteristics In Addition To Great Performance.I Have The KRA - 23 M On My Kenwood NX 1300 For GMRS Use, With SWR Readings At 1.43 Compared To 2.43 On The KRA - 42 M 2" Helical Model.Very Little "Swishing" Effect Both On Transmit & Receive.Better Than UHF Whip - Great Performance On GMRS Frequencies.Good Stuff.......

Works well for GMRS
Great antenna for GMRS. I am running it on my Wouxun KG-935G and it fits great, works great, and looks great. Gets similar range and reception as my larger antennas, similar performance so far to my Nagoya 701G. Definitely recommend.

Did not work on Kenwood VP8000 Starcom
The antenna fit fine on the radio no issues. Radio received transmissions from our dispatch just fine but it would not transmit anything other than garbled static. We are on Starcom too so there should have been zero issues with signal or reception. Will be returning. Back to the 8in Kenwood antenna for now.
