"Yarn" is not informative. are they nylon, cotton, or something else?** A: It’s not cotton for sure. It looks like to be nylon or some kind of plastic material. **Q: Will these work for pomegranates?** A: I would say that the 6x8 size will be a bit small. I don't think they'll be large enough by time the pomegranate fruit matures to full size. Some pomegranates can get quite large. I would go with the 8x12 for pomegranates. I used the 6x8 for strawberries. One thing that I noticed, is that the green bags affected the light coming through, so the fruit didn't color properly. I use them for strawberries. It definitely keeps the bugs away. They're somewhat easy to install, and reusable. They're also good for making it easy to spot the strawberries. Sometimes I pass by strawberries are difficult to see under the leaves, but the bags help identify those locations. The only drawback, if you can call it that, is the green color. I was putting the bags on ASAP, but I find that some were not ripening up so well.
