Great tug-of-war and chew toy for large dogs
The media could not be loaded. My collie's favorite activity is playing tug-of-war with rope toys either with humans or with her golden retriever sister, so for her first birthday last week, I got her this giant one. She loves it and has been dragging it around for days, bringing it to us and staring at us until we grab one end and play with her. My golden enjoys it, too, and is happy to play with it with my collie. (The golden mostly ignores rope toys unless the collie is playing with one. She likes them when the collie plays with them with her, though, and this one is no exception.) My collie also likes to chew on rope toys sometimes and has enjoyed chewing on this one a bit. We haven't had this toy for very long, but based on my experience with others of similar materials and design that were smaller, this one should hold up for a long time. We have had shorter/thinner ones with similar materials and design that have held up for months and are still in good shape. For reference, my collie (1 year old) is about 55 pounds, and my golden (2.5 years old) is around 70. I'm pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who has a medium or large size dog that enjoys tug-of-war or chewing on rope. My collie had a happy birthday!

Heavy Duty
This is worth the extra money! Our dog was chewing through other ropes in 1 day…this rope is awesome!

Product was fine, but the box was opened
4 stars over all. The tug rope itself looks like it will be a good dog toy. When taking the photo of the delivered package on my front porch, the Amazon driver who delivered it, carefully positioned the box to conceal the fact that the opposite end was completely torn open. Disappointing.

FALSE ADVERTISING
This is advertised as a toy for aggressive chewers. That you should remove. My 41lb bird food shredded it in 8hrs. Granted she had great fun destroying it but advertising it for aggressive chewers is false advertising.

The first thing I bought Trixie that she couldn't tear to shreds.
Ya'll, I've tried everything for this dog to have something to play with from knotted ropes to mop heads and everything winds up all over the floor in every room after only a few minutes. What happens after that? She's back to following me every step I take all day long every single day. I've tripped over this dog more times than I can count. Anyway, she's had this toy for months, and although she messes with it every day it barely shows a scratch. Of course, it's a very hard toy. Nothing she can sink her teeth in but it works. I gotta say though walking through a dimly lit room in the middle of the night it can look like a big boo boo on the floor until you look closer. Someone's almost gotten in big trouble until I took another look. Maybe make one in a brighter color or even glow-in-the-dark.
