Help for Drain Flies.
Finally, a solution that doesn't just capture, but rids drain flies at the source. I was using Zevo traps and though they captured gnats, they didn't curtail the problem of gnats flying around and pestering. I kept searching for safe products to pour down the drain. Drain Gel had good reviews. Make sure you shake the bottle before application. I had done several days worth before I remembered. I used the gel nightly on all my drains for about a week. You might need to treat daily for a longer period. Patience and consistency are key. I have a 2bdr 2bath and I was on empty and had to reorder after the 1st week. I continued to use the Zevo plug in traps and covered my drains when not in use. I just used some small plastic craft/snack cups to cover each drain. I put in new traps a couple of days ago. I haven't caught any more gnats. I reordered Drain Gel and plan to use a weekly application for maintenance.

Works for drain flies!! Just takes time.
We thought we had fruit flies. Turns out we had drain flies. They are different. We treated the kitchen sink and bathroom sink drains every evening before bed for a week. Then we scaled back to every other night for a week. Then we went to every third night for a week. IN the fourth week, we went to once a week. We continue to treat the drains at bedtime once a week, and our issue has been resolved. It doesn't take much to treat a drain, but it needs to coat the pipe well. These drain flies are not attracted to fly strips, or the new electronic sticky traps. They aren't attracted to vinegar DIY traps, or anything else we purchased or made. Only this type enzyme treatment works. Give it a try.

I'm terribly sorry , i would give 4.5 points .
I'm terribly sorry , i would give 4.5 points . It has a very lovely scent . But the thing is : I followed to instructions , pour it for 14 days in a row. The number of the drain flies was reduced, but still , still visible 2-3 drain flies every day . Still pouring , and still 2-3 drain flies every day . although the flies are young and small . but it worked only for a few days, then it stopped working. But maybe the problemis in the building itself.

Worked on springtails
This product saved my sanity. I had springtails. Not a huge problem yet, but because I was aware of these pests I got right on it. I had my shower caulked and after 1 treatment of Drain Gel the springtails were gone.

This is the only thing that helped us get rid of drain flies!
So happy I made this purchase. I researched high on low how to eliminate a drain fly issue that was happening in our kitchen sink. For 2 weeks, I tried everything I could to mitigate the problem. It was so disheartening to see nothing working to eliminate the dreaded flies. Finally my research led me to this particular product. I put 4 ounces in my kitchen drain every evening before bed for 5 nights in a row, then flushed with hot water in the morning. At first, I did not think it was working but voila....by the 6th day all flies seem to be GONE. It is such a relief to have a drain fly free kitchen once again!

Don't forget to shake well.
For last five summers (July and August specifically), we've had to deal with this super annoying issue of drain flies. We tried almost everything we could find and called in every local expert. Finally one of the guys we called in recommended drain gel and we used it for a little over a week straight before I had to go out of town for 10 days. When I came back, I expected more active flies but instead I found 100s of flies dead but not one living. I'm elated that this is peak season for the flies and there are none I have to deal with anymore. One thing to remember is that there is a birth cycle of about 17 days or so. So if you are using this and still seeing flies, it doesn't mean that its not working. You have to use it aggressively until you clean out all the larvae that's deep in the pipes. A little over a week seemed to do it for me but it may vary case by case. Also, focus heavily on the sinks as well the tubs. You may think that the bathtubs is where the activity is but the sinks provide the easiest path to the deepest part of the pipes. Crossing my fingers that it's gone for good but I'm buying some more maintenance treatment. Finally I found something that seems to do the job!

Takes time to work
Not sure if this product rates four and five stars because it takes a long time to be effective, and you have to be consistent in applying to the drains that are affected. Have been using for eight weeks now, and there is only an occasional nasty fly that dares to make an appearance, which is quickly dispatched (but they are fast little buggers). Use it every week, without fail, and there may be a decrease in the little rascals that make an appearance. Here's and interesting tidbit: this stuff smells very much like the stuff you put in the black water tank of an RV. Both products do essentially the same thing: digest waste; same thing with a different label? Hope this helps. Also, the weather may be a factor here. Much cooler now than when I started the application.
