Hi all,This car is definitely not remote controlled. I don't know why the rating has a spot for giving "remote control" a star value.However, the car IS a very nice little kit- nothing complicated, just a bit of fun for the kids when they need something to do for a few minutes.The price is a little high for this kit, but the overall value is pretty decent! The car looks good when completed and the pieces are great quality. Overall I think this is a pretty good deal!

This set caught my attention with its unusual combination of brick building structure and scale model exterior. I'm only slightly familiar with Initial-D, but was very curious to see how this hybrid approach works.The pieces are all very good. The bricks are CaDA branded and although there were a couple 1x1 brackets with visual imperfections, all the fits were excellent. It's a speedy and sturdy build with good instructions. The scale model pieces were easy to remove from their sprue with little to no scar clean-up needed. The tires are likely the best I've ever received in a brick kit, and considering CaDA's focus on motorsports and supercar kits, I think I'll expect more of the same from their other kits.I didn't love placing all 23 stickers, not only because many are quite small, but also because in most cases there aren't panel lines or edges to help get them in the right location and orientation. I wish they would have given the interior some of the same attention to detail they gave the exterior, and I was surprised there wasn't at least a sticker for the dashboard and a steering wheel. Since it appears they went and got the proper licensing from Kodansha to use the character's image, it would have been nice to have a Keisuke Takahashi figure of some sort.This set is well done for the most part and I expect devoted fans of the show may enjoy it a little more than I did. I notice CaDA also produces at least two larger-scale all brick-built sets of this Initial-D Mazda RX-7, so depending on budget and taste, one of those might be a better choice.

Great beginner building block build. If you're a fan of Initial-D this is simple build for any age. Building it is very easy and will take you 5-10 minutes. The hardest part will be the stickers so if it's for child, they'll need your help to apply them. I recommend applying the stickers first before putting it together so it would be easier to hold. The RX7 looks amazing just like the show. However, the front bumper keeps falling off. So if it's for a smaller kid, they might be bugging you to fix it. Overall, great building car for the Initial-D fan.

Just received the product and build it right away. The block seems like lego, the plastic quality is good. The finished model is very solid and looks nice. Very enjoyable!
