Creative SB Inferno Gaming Headset (PS4 / PC /MAC / Smart Devices)

The first time round I ordered this headset, I had to send it back because I believed there was problems with the audio and the microphone, but it turns out it was completely related to my computer as the replacement one did the same thing too. Was extremely simple to get a replacement anyway, so that's definitely not taking off any stars.After moving from Windows 8.1 back to Windows 7, this fixed all my issues regarding the sound quality and incapability to record sound with the mic. After sorting all those issues out, I discovered that this headset is truly amazing. The sound quality is absolutely perfect for everything I love to do, whether it's sound-heavy games such as PAYDAY 2 or Far Cry 4, or I'm just listening to instrument-rich music while I'm coding, it's such a delight to hear things through it.The microphone quality is what you would expect a £50-odd headphones to be: excellent. Absolutely no problems with the microphone after I switched my OS (although that isn't a complete confirmation of the problem yet).When first wearing the headphones you can feel it definitely clamp down on your ears, it however did cover my entire ear and I have medium-large sized ears and the clamping eases completely after about an hour of wearing. After that you basically forget you have it on when you're immersed into something.I'm extremely impressed with Creative's line-up of headphones, whether it's Creative Fatality or these headphones, the Creative SB Inferno, they all have great comfort, great sound and great mic quality. It's a package you just cannot argue against, and worth every bit of your money.

I originally ordered these as my previous headset was broken. After doing some searching I found these and brought them. I brought these last year and they still work perfectly. They come with a year guarantee from the company which they also add 3 months to. They have ever only broke once and after contacting the company who make them they sent me a new pair free of charge.The microphone quality isn't the best but it is great considering the price. They also provide fantastic sound quality and they are very comfy and sit around my ears rather than on top of them.

At first glance the Inferno seems quite good, It's well priced and looks good. The only initial negative would be a somewhat short cable length.However, The cups are ridiculously small and do not "cup" the ear but instead squash it. This is quite uncomfortable for any lengthy period and makes them unusable. If you have VERY small ears these might be okay for you. For anyone with an average ear size though they will likely not be comfortable for you.Audio quality is average for a product of this price point, but i found the microphone to be lacking. Needless to say, these issues make the Inferno somewhat useless as a headset for me, so I have returned it for a refund. Perhaps they would be good for a child however.On a plus note, the item was received undamaged and promptly, it's just a shame that it's so badly designed.

In terms of sound quality: 10/10 excellent bass and volume control with a decent amount of background removal. Product quality: 10/10 comfortable to wear, very good quality craftsmanship, complete with detachable microphone which comes in very handy and adapter to switch between connection to smart devices and the like and separate microphone/headphones input to use with the computer. Very simple and easy to use volume control and very nice look too. Mic quality: 5/10 unfortunately the mic is quite quiet to the people I'm talking to and drops the quality of the headset as a whole but isn't a major issue. Delivery quality: Excellent, arrived the day before expected, on the day which I was going to be in to receive it so I didn't have to go to the local delivery office, so very happy about that. All in all fantastic product would recommend to anyone interested in a very good quality but on the expensive side of the cheap spectrum, but completely worth the money, possibly more.

Very good device, I bought this for work, as I need to be able to use this from my phone and laptop. The connectic allows you to do this, so great stuff. The only thing is sound isolation. I can;t put music too loud without disturbing my colleague seating next to me, and I am not isolated that much from outside world when on call. Hence the 3 stars only, as this could have been an absolute must have, should the sound be better isolated.

Well like most of the reviews have said these headphones are great for gaming, the sound quality is great, but they are made from cheap plastic and both sets i have owned have snapped where the right ear peice joins onto the headband. This is the second pair i have owned. the first pair i had for over a year before they snapped and this latest pair snapped after 7 months. I take good care of all my pc gaming equipment so its not like im heavy handed with them. It really is a shame because the sound quality is really good.

This headset is quite comfy and soft, however I would not recommend it.The sound quality is decent, however the unit I have doesn't handle bass too well and the left ear speaker tends to vibrate. This is quite apparent at low volume, and the problem gets worse as the volume is raised.The microphone on this is just terrible. It picks up all sorts of background noise, and just sounds terrible. Not ideal for gaming, as you just bombard your team's chat with loads of random background noise and static.

Very nice headset, but the lead could do with being longer. Depending on where the PC is and cable route followed, the length of the lead could cause problems.Would be a 5 star rating if it wasn't for this.
