Microwave
Got this more than a year ago and is still looking and working well.Found that it takes almost double the time to heat up food especially when it's more food on the plate. Also, the door wasn't aligned well when you closed it, but I was too lazy to send it back when I first opened it.Definitely good for ready meals, ...but then I don't have any of those anymore!I must say, It was ok for the price hence the 3 stars, but I would not buy this exact model again.

Nuke-aholic
Ever since my old microwave went out with a bang i was in the lookout for a new one. with so many on the market it was tough to settle on one in particular. I eventually settled for this, the Daewoo KOR3000DSL. On the budget-ish end of the market it was perfect for my needs boasting 800 watts of cooking power, rotary time/weight/power adjustment and quite possibly the easiest to set clock i have ever come across (very important to me!) Add to that, an intuitive control layout and clean modern styling and you have a recipe for success! (pun intended)I have had this microwave for 3 months now and i am more than pleased, cooking all i have thrown at it to perfection. it even seems to cook food slightly faster than my old one despite both being 800 watts.Delivery from Amazon was perfect as always and came promptly the next day as expected.

Simple to use, and looks pretty good. Only minus so far was the relatively short cable.

Microwave exploded causing fire
Just a warning to owners of this microwave model by Daewoo. My 7 year old microwave exploded two days ago, burning the socket where it was plugged in. The force of the explosion was such that the plug flew out of the socket. I was turned at the time of the explosion and saw a bright light in front of my eyes and heard a terrifying sound. I had not realised what it was and thought the electric switch that I had just switched on had a fault. There was a strong smell of burning bakelite which made us leave the kitchen for safety. When the electrician came, he located the source of the burning smell. It was surprising to say the least as the microwave was not being used at the time and neither was any other electric machine in the kitchen (save for the fridge-freezer which is always on.) The electrician told me that one must never leave electrical items plugged in when not in use as it is not safe. I loved my microwave, it was easy to use and a nice size. I took care of it. But it was always plugged in as the plug was not easy to reach to turn off. I am sure that most people leave things plugged in such as the kettle, the toaster, the microwave... Please don't put yourself in this position! Maybe my microwave had a defective part. I went onto the Daewoo website but there is no recall notice on that model and neither is one on the Trading Standards website. But I know from people who deal in electrical/electronic items that there are batches of faulty components going around. Proof of this is that my mother's Panasonic oven did exactly the same thing and she lives in a different country, with different electrics and different layout in the kitchen. My flat is about 5 years old with modern electrics and has passed all tests for safety. So I know it was not a local fault. And neither was my way of using it. Can you imagine something like this happening to your elderly parents or child who are simply standing in front of the inactive microwave? Luckily there were no curtains or other flammable items on or near the microwave. Because had there been... I don't even want to contemplate it. Please take care using your microwave and ensure it has a lot of room all around for ventilation, no water reaching it, nothing flammable close to it and definitely nothing on top of it! I am attaching a picture showing the burned wall socket which had been removed by the electrician who left it with the plug plugged in to show the location it was prior to the explosion. I am waiting for my landlord's electrical company to come run a check, so I can't move anything at the moment and I shall also notify Daewoo UK in case they need to issue a recall notice.

Daewoo microwave
OK for the money and looks (but doesn't feel) posh. Basic but the display is very dim. Does the job.

It is mostly good but not all.
I ordered the Daewoo KOR3000DSL as my old Tesco had gone (after 3 years). It looks fine and works as it should do, it's not top of the range but the price is not top of the range either.I have to mark it down however, the display is far to dim, my kitchen faces South and it is impossible to read the display. I have to close the blinds and shield the display to be able to see the figures.I have kept it but I wish I hadn't.Oh! my eyes are excellent and I do not wear any specs!EDIT 13/6/2012 It is now not working and awaiting return 4 months on!EDIT 15/6/2012 The replacement arrived today, it doesn't work either.Find something else, anything but this!G.

Good value for money
Delivery: was spot on (even a bit too much, good thing I wake up early, the van arrived at 7.30 am!)Looks: 5/5 - really like the finish, no faults here;Operating: 5/5 - the knob is not over sensitive, like some, while giving very quick response. Haven't tried the auto stuff, but I don't really see the point of them any way;Application: decent size, can accommodate large dishes without problem. The shelf thing is also quite handy for multiple heating. Heating time appropriate for 800W oven, so no complains here.Overall: very good value for money.
